Struggled at big prices in two starts so far including when beaten 17L over 5f at Navan latest. Up dramatically in trip now but still of no appeal here.
By Gleneagles out of Irish Oaks winner Peeping Fawn so bred in the purple but he appears third string on jockey bookings and doesn't hold many fancy entries.
1,050,000 gns yearling by top sire Kingman from an excellent French family and must be highly respected despite Ryan Moore being aboard Yankee Stadium considering how many times yard's second string strikes.
Dandy Man newcomer a half-brother to 5 Flat winners inc Speaking Of Which (1m-1m2f Ire/US inc Gr 2) represents a top yard well capable with debutants so has to be considered here.
Showcasing colt kept on for a never nearer but well beaten third at Naas over 7f earlier this month. Can build on that here and fact he is still entered in the National Stakes suggests improvement expected.
Homebred by Teofilo was a once-paced eighth on debut at the Curragh last month and even over this longer trip he is probably best watched.
Colt by Free Eagle kept on well for third of eight at Roscommon earlier this month over 7f so should appreciate an extra 1f here. Expectant of a bold bid but the five debut makers from top yards likely to feature at least one smart sort
Newcomer by Galileo is a brother to US 1m turf winner Switch In Time out of a US 7f Grade 1 winner on dirt. Looks stable's first string on jockey bookings but check the market before making that assumption.
Forecasts
Cormorant (3/1), Free Solo (4/1), Yankee Stadium (4/1), Perry Owens (5/1), Cabot Hills (13/2), National Asset (10/1), Dark Pine (12/1), Bass Reeves (100/1)
It isn't always the case that Ryan Moore is aboard the best of the Ballydoyle runners in such contests but one must consider that he likely is and with that in mind YANKEE STADIUM is chanced in a contest where newcomers may hold the key. Cormorant cost a cool 1m guineas and may prove every bit as capable as his stablemate and he too is preferred to Naas third Free Solo.
