Finished a well beaten third on her Newmarket turf debut looking capable of better but failing to improve on that run switched to the AW last time. Didn't appear to be suited by the 6f; now drops to 5f but has an awkward wide draw to cope with.
From a good family (by Kingman) and offered something to work having been given a considerate introduction at Yarmouth. No match for the favourite at Bath last time (stepped forward from debut); type to improve further, one for nurseries.
Ivawood filly (40,000 guineas yearling) out of an Italian 1m1f winner who makes her debut (stable 2-23 with 2yo newcomers this year). Nicely drawn for her debut if she is sharp enough to take advantage; market to provide further information.
Yard yet to really get going with their 2yo this year (0-5) this Cable Bay filly one if the few to have had an outing. Well held on her debut (6f) but did show some promise (sharper for the run), surprising to see her dropped to 5f.
Stable have a very modest 4-101 record with their juveniles over the past five years and hard to see this one improving those statistics here. Very green on her Goodwood 6f debut she failed to come on for that run last time; best watched for now.
Rare 2yo runner from a mainly jumps based yard (yard have never had a 2yo newcomer win 0-22). Dam tough winner at up to 6f including as a 2yo, hard to see her making a winning debut., makes limited appeal.
Takes the eye on pedigree; dam, 7f winner, half-sister to high-class 1m2f/1m3f winner Poet's Word. Shaped with plenty of encouragement on debut when third at Nottingham (form nicely franked); travelled well, looks a real sprinting type.
Yard 3-15 with 2yo newcomers this year; by Oasis Dream out of dam who was a 6f winner at Listed level. Bred to be speedy she looks nicely berthed (stall 1) although she will need to sharp to make use of her stalls position; one to note.
Price dropped by 16,000 guineas from foal to 2yo; half-sister to three winners, dam also a juvenile 6f winner. Went with little promise on her debut at Nottingham over 6f, will need to show more on her second run to get involved.
Newcomer by Invincible Spirit; pedigree that suggests she will need further than this 5f; half sister to several winners at 1m2f plus. Trainer 2-7 with 2yo newcomers this year; given the distance best watched unless market signals positive.
Forecasts
Poets Dance (15/8), Allez Sophia (4/1), Hot Affair (5/1), Reassure (5/1), Airbrush (10/1), Jouska (12/1), Up To Speed (14/1), Red Hottie (25/1), Liscahann (50/1), Krishmaya (80/1)
The debut that POETS DANCE made at Nottingham was a taking one and with that form already having been shown to be of good quality she’s taken to put her experience to good use over a trip that is clearly going to suit her well. Alex Sophia bumped into a useful sort last time and looks to have done so again here but she’s shown enough to be of interest again although she may be seen to best effect in handicaps once she has a mark. The same could be said of Airbrush although her form wouldn’t be as good. Of the newcomers Reassure makes the most appeal and could prove to be the biggest danger to the market leader.
- Poets Dance
- Allez Sophia
- Reassure
