Impressive 6L winner of a 7f novice race at Brighton (good-to-firm) in first time blinkers (replaced with cheekpieces here) last September. Drops in grade on handicap debut having finished last of seven in Listed company at Epsom (7f, good) in May.

Generally disappointing since returning from a break and worth a check in the market off a mark 4lb lower than when winning on the AW at Wolverhampton (5f) in February.

Ran well when sixth in a Listed race over 5f here in Bath and best effort in three subsequent starts came when a close fourth over this trip at Chester (good) last time out. Of interest once more.

Completed a course double when victorious over C&D on firm ground last week. Carries a 6lb penalty for that victory and looks likely to play a leading role once more.

Victorious by 2L in a C&D handicap on firm ground three weeks ago and followed up when successful by a neck in a 6f handicap at Salisbury (firm) ten days later. Interesting off a 3lb higher mark.

Forecasts

Heritage (10/11), Storm Melody (7/2), Miss Celestial (5/1), Rose Berry (7/1), Boom The Groom (12/1)

Verdict

HERITAGE has been in good form of late and she can complete a hat-trick by defying a penalty to register a third course win in this small field sprint handicap. Storm Melody is another bidding to complete a hat-trick and with a leading apprentice in the saddle he can claim second spot ahead of Rose Berry who ran well in a valuable contest last time out.
  1. Heritage
  2. Storm Melody
  3. Rose Berry
