Had a run of six thirds when with Jamie Osborne and despite shaping much better on his second start for his new stable at Bath, that remains well below his best. May shape better again off 1lb but more required.
Fair maiden on the Flat when with Gary Moore but well below that on stable debut here and struggled on his hurdling debut this month. Others look stronger candidates.
Remains a seven-race maiden but looked to be going well when finally settling in her race better at Kempton but crucially had to wait for a run which came to late. Down another 1lb and with more luck could be on a good mark.
Proved very disappointing when tailed off on handicap debut at Newbury. Down in grade and 2lb but plenty to prove off this mark now. Others preferred.
Built on the promise of his third start when a close effort on handicap debut (both over 7f here). Open to more improvement at this track and he's kept on a couple of times as though this trip should be fine. Likely contender.
Beaten 6L into fourth over this trip on handicap debut at Leicester. That was a bit below a couple of her previous runs but the form for this level is solid enough. Could be involved.
Maybe not the most straightforward but has shown enough to win a race in 13 starts and has shown his best form on the AW. Didn't see out 1m2f at Epsom last time and a return to this distance and surface should see him in the mix again.
Placed in three of four handicap starts with soft ground a valid excuse on the other occasion. Third in a well run race at Chelmsord over this trip latest and likely she won't be far away again for a stable in decent form.
13-race maiden has proved consistent until not staying 1m4f at Ripon on unfavourable soft ground. Has had a few chances and hard to get carried away for win purposes but likely to fare much better in these conditions.
Respectable efforts in her first three starts but very disappointing in three handicap starts so far. Down another 4lb and best watched for now.
Remains a maiden following 14 starts and has an inconsistent profile. Has a close effort over 7f at this course to his name but hasn't convinced over this trip previously.
Showed little in two starts in Ireland last autumn and three outings for this stable so far this season. Handicap falling but yet to see enough.
Went close a couple of times at Brighton in June but latest defeat makes it 41 starts without a win. Has run well here a few times and quite capable of being involved but hard to be confident in her making a breakthrough.
Forecasts
Toro Dorado (6/5), Canasta (6/1), Stormbomber (7/1), Lonicera (8/1), Solfeggio (8/1), Charlie Arthur (12/1), Joyful Dream (20/1), Gates Pass (20/1), Lethal Lover (20/1), Is It Off (25/1), Warning Light (25/1), Picture Poet (28/1), Muraadef (33/1)
A wide open low grade handicap where Lonicera is expected to continue her run of decent handicap efforts when conditions suit. Charlie Arthur has been hitting the line over shorter as though there's improvement to come at this extra distance but narrow preference is for SOLFEGGIO who has more to offer now she has learnt to settle and was an eye-catcher in a luckless run last time.
- Solfeggio
- Charlie Arthur
- Lonicera
