Better known as a hurdler but running well enough on the Flat in slightly better company to warrant respect at what could be his optimum distance.

Both wins on Flat were gained at an extended 1m3f and seemingly failed to stay 2m on turf when down the field in Amateurs event on latest. Yarmouth win on debut for this yard was gained in a better race and should be happier at this shorter trip.

Two best runs this campaign were both at this venue though both leave him with a bit to find and has to prove conclusively that he stays this far.

Thirsk win under today's rider on 2018 comeback was sole career success but has failed to build on that and disappointing again on recent Doncaster return. Bit to prove.

Won over hurdles here in March and also ran well here when close second over C&D in May. Didn't stay 3m over hurdles last time and dangerous back at this venue off the same mark.

Had shown very little prior to landing a 28/1 shock over hurdles at Perth last week. Now has to show that on the Flat and one of two runners here for in-form yard.

Really poor form on turf on the Flat but has looked much better over hurdles of late with a win and a second in the past few weeks. Has to prove now he can carry that progress over to this sphere.

Off the mark at Redcar over 1m2f in May and has run creditable since gradually stepping up in trip. Now over the longest she has tacked but looks worth a go at it though latest fourth has taken some knocks.

Beat Frame Rate here in May. Has failed to follow that up but does return to this track off the same mark so not ruled out.

Both wins gained at shorter but does stay this far. Ran as well as could be expected when runner up, receiving stacks of weight from the winner, in Catterick claimer on latest and more needed here.

Stand out effort was a second on Good to soft at Hamilton last August. Has tried 2m with little success of late and others preferred.

Landed a bit of a gamble over hurdles here in the autumn but otherwise her form leaves her with something to find from 6lb out of the weights.

Has shown nothing in three maidens including for this yard last time. 12 lb out of the weights for handicap debut and only real hope seems to be the good recent form of the stable.

Percy Prosecco (11/4), Iolani (9/2), True Romance (5/1), Elite Icon (9/1), Kaizer (10/1), Spark of War (10/1), Sosian (12/1), Frame Rate (14/1), Kitty's Cove (16/1), Highway Robber (16/1), Princess Nearco (25/1), Abouttimeyoutoldme (33/1), Dizoard (80/1)

Verdict

PERCY PROSECCO looked a non-stayer over 2m at Doncaster last time and back at this trip in a weaker contest, makes some appeal. Frame Rate could be a threat if putting his best foot forward at a venue he has ran well at before while Kaizer merits respect if carrying improved hurdles form over to the Flat.
