Experienced gelding who was successful at Redcar (1m) last September but has been unable to follow it up since then. He was a little closer last time at Thirsk (7f) when fifth of 14. Down 3lb here. Each-way chance off this mark.

Still a maiden after 18 races, however, he came very close to his opening success last time at Carlisle (7f) where he was only beaten by a short-head when second of 10. Has gone up 2lb but this slightly stiffer trip will suit. Leading player.

Remains a maiden following 10 runs but he has gone close on a couple of occasions this season. He could only finish ninth of 15 last time at Carlisle (1m1f) when going off as the 7/2 favourite. This drop down in trip should suit. One to consider.

A four-time C&D winner who often produces his best form at this track. He has been below his best so far this season, however, his latest was a better when he was fourth of eight over this C&D. Is 1lb below his last winning mark. One for shortlist.

Has been well held on all five of his starts this year. He was ninth of 12 on his latest appearance at Pontefract (6f). Has been eased 3lb in the weights so has to be respected off this latest mark but his form is a major concern.

Looking for his first win since he was scored at Ayr (1m) in May 2018. Has hit the frame on a couple of occasions this year but generally has been disappointing. He was seventh of 12 last time at Hamilton over the extended 1m trip. Needs to improve.

His sole success came as a novice over 5f at Pontefract. Stepped up in trip recently to 7f which has yet to help him find an improvement. He was sixth of 14 last time at Catterick (7f). Down 2lb to a new career low mark. Others preferred.

Lightly-raced filly who is still bidding for her first win. Showed some promise on handicap debut at Thirsk (7f) when fourth of 13 but since then she has struggled. Has been eased 2lb in weights and visor on for first time here. Others preferred.

Experienced gelding whose best form has come on the AW. His sole success on turf came in April 2015. Needs to bounce back from finishing last of 11 last time at Hamilton over the extended 1m trip. Is rated 11lb higher on the AW. Hard to fancy.

Broke his maiden at Wetherby (1m) back in May but since then, he has struggled off his new mark. He was ninth of 13 last time a Hamilton over the extended 1m. Has been eased 1lb and is now down in trip. More needed if he is to land his second win.

Ended his wait for his maiden success two starts back on the AW at Chelmsford (7f) when a surprise 33/1 winner. Ran modestly well on his last appearance over the same C&D where he had to settle for third of 12. Has something to prove on this surface.

Does not have a great strike-rate, with just one success coming on turf. Has been well held on his recent attempts, including latest at Ripon (1m) where he was 11th of 14. Down to a career low mark now but hard to fancy.

A C&D winner who went close to another success here two starts back when second of 14, beaten by just a nose. Has to bounce back from below best effort at Hamilton last time as she came home eighth of 13. Can't discount her out at this track.

Has been unable to get off the mark yet in eight starts. Been beaten a long way on her two handicap starts this season on turf, including latest run at Yarmouth (7f) where she was last of 13. Very difficult to make a case for her here.

Remains a maiden after 18 races. Showed some promise earlier in the season when fourth of 10 at Musselburgh (7f). Refused to race last time at Carlisle (6f) though which is a big concern. One to watch for now.

Forecasts

Red Seeker (15/8), Fard (6/1), Rebel State (13/2), Relight My Fire (8/1), Rosy Ryan (9/1), Wensley (9/1), Fitzy (12/1), Christmas Night (12/1), Etikaal (16/1), Muqarred (16/1), Elikapeka (20/1), Quick Monet (25/1), Shamaheart (25/1), Adventureman (28/1), Erastus (50/1), Quduraat (66/1)

Verdict

FARD was staying on strongly over 7f at Carlisle last time where he just didn't quite get up at the finish. This slightly stiffer test will suit him so it represents a fantastic chance for him to break his maiden here which is long overdue. Red Seeker has been expensive to follow recently but should go close again over this shorter distance, while Relight My Fire can never be discounted at this track as all of his best form has come here.
