C&D winner in 2016 and finally got his act together after long absence when winning similar handicap at Doncaster (6f, good to firm) last time out. 4lb rise shows the handicapper is taking no chances but respected off top weight.
Improved from Haydock effort two starts ago when landing C&D in good style in June. 5lb rise seems fair but this looks to be an easier contest than he won last time. Leading contender.
Proved that shock Leicester win at the start of the season was no fluke with good effort at Ripon three starts ago before 1 1/2L second at Nottingham (6f, good) on latest start. This is tougher but on the same mark and has place claims.
Consistently hitting the frame this season, finishing second on her last three starts including in similar contest at Newbury (6f, good to firm) last time. Creeping up the weights without winning and cheekpieces are on now. Respected.
Vastly improved in her last two starts, winning 6f Handicap at Leicester before runner up in similar contest at that venue two weeks ago. Now 7lb above last winning mark and up in grade but no reason why she can't progress again.
Sole win came at Thirsk in April but has underperformed on her last two starts, including 8L eighth in 7f Ayr handicap in June. Dropped 2lb and back in trip but others hold stronger claims.
