Seven-time winner a shock 66/1 scorer in the Group Three Abernant Stakes at Newmarket in April. Well held since in Group One company and now must prove that Group Three success no fluke under a penalty.
German raider a winner of three of his seven starts with a Group Three latest a career highlight. Not easy to quantify the form here but German sprinters not renowned on the global stage.
Group 2 winner and placed in Group 1 company, this classy six-year-old ran well at Hamilton when last seen and will be a genuine contender if any more rain falls; softer the better for his chances.
Second in this last year in a thoroughly consistent campaign which eventually yielded a deserved Group Three win. Tough asks in red-hot contests both starts in 2019 but sights lowered now he should make a bold bid.
Progressive sort won the Ayr Silver Cup on heavy last season and followed up in a French Group Three. Listed dead-heat scorer latest (6f,soft) and is respected here with his chances improving greatly if further rain falls.
Triple Group One winner won this in 2016 and although he was a shade disappointing when sixth in Group One Golden Jubilee latest he remains one of the best sprinters in training and with his going versatility a plus he rates the one to beat.
5½f Listed scorer in France on very soft ground at two but mostly struggled at three. Latest effort in a hot Newmarket handicap his best of 2019 but this demands a great deal more.
Hat-trick of wins including Listed C&D success saw him well fancied for Group One Commonwealth Cup latest and although he was a little disappointing there he has to be considered back at this level for a trainer exceptional with sprinters.
Salisbury winner in April almost upset Khaadem when second to that rival at 20/1 over C&D in May. Open to more improvement so potential to turn the tables on Khaadem now.
Earned connections £62,250 when winning a class 2 three-year-old handicap at York which was a really solid effort. Up in class now but well worth his place and far from ruled out here.
Forecasts
The Tin Man (6/4), Snazzy Jazzy (5/1), Khaadem (13/2), Donjuan Triumphant (13/2), Oxted (11/1), Recon Mission (14/1), Barbill (16/1), Projection (16/1), Waldpfad (33/1), Keystroke (33/1)
It is still early days in his seven-year-old season but at six THE TIN MAN was as good as ever and if he brings his a-game to the table he will prove extremely hard to beat here. Although disappointing latest Khaadem is far from forgotten having proved really progressive before that Group One attempt. The softer the ground the better for the pair Snazzy Jazzy and Donjuan Triumphant who both have genuine claims if we end up on soft ground.
- The Tin Man
