Always struggling after tardy start last time but long losing run continues to mount, though repeat of Ayr second to in-form horse in May would certainly put him in the mix. Usually ridden by this 7lb claimer.
Sole career win was gained on the AW. Didn't really progress for first time cheek pieces latest (retained here). Needs to eke out some improvement.
1-16 on turf and starting off for new yard today. Better on the AW as mark reflects and passed over even in this weak contest.
Back on track when close third over C&D last month and a repeat of that run from this Irish challenger would put him firmly in the mix.
Fair form as a two-year-old (rated 75) but lost his way since and no better when backed at long odds in a seller last time. Hard to be positive about.
Took advantage of good draw (first three home were berthed 1,3,2) in 14 runner field at Beverley last time but the winner has gone in again since to give the form substance so entitled to be a player here.
Dual hurdles winner in the winter and her third behind dual winner since on penultimate start reads well here. Latest run needs to be forgiven though so has to bounce back.
Finished 3L behind Rosa Ryan at Beverley on latest but had poor draw to overcome and reasons to think he can do better now. One for the short list.
Failed by a nose to reel in the winner at Ayr on Monday and that was his second solid effort in a row. Extra furlong today looks within his scope and claims if this doesn't come too soon.
Runner up off 65 in Ireland last summer and although out of sorts since, his mark has slipped accordingly and has now moved to a shrewd yard who do well with their runners in Scotland. Top claimer booked and market check strongly advised.
Couple of pieces of form have been on the AW but poor on turf and trainer enduring a long losing run. Easy to look elsewhere.
Clear of remainder when 4L second to stable companion over this trip at Bellewstown last month. Disappointing since but found extra 2f beyond her and has to be of interest back at optimum trip in such a weak race.
8L fourth of six in race with little depth at Catterick isn't easy to assess and overall form looks to give her a deal to find though relatively early days for her.

Retirement Beckons (4/1), Blue Whisper (5/1), Phoenix Lightning (5/1), Millie The Minx (8/1), Finsceal Rose (8/1), Rebel State (10/1), Rosy Ryan (12/1), Corked (12/1), Muqarred (16/1), Tellovoi (16/1), Mr Cool Cash (20/1), French Flyer (22/1), Palazzo (40/1), Just A Rumour (50/1)
A very ordinary looking handicap where the presence of some Irish raiders could prove interesting. On his first run for this trainer PHOENIX LIGHTNING has one stand out piece of from from last summer which would make him of huge interest and he is narrowly preferred to Finsceal Rose. At a price it may be worth keeping Mr Cool Cash onside after showing more from a wide draw at Beverley.
- Phoenix Lightning
- Finsceal Rose
- Mr Cool Cash
