Course winner over further who produced his best effort of the season last-time out wearing cheekpieces for the first-time (now in first-time visor). On a good mark now back in trip but should be able to make his mark in this grade; fair chance.
Has his issues with consistency but ran one of his better races last time over this trip at Brighton (goes well on switchback courses). Won twice here on the AW, slipped back below his last winning mark, can't write off totally but others more solid.
Recorded his first win in this race last year (off 1lb higher mark; won once on the AW since); reverts to the headgear combination worn for both his wins. Not disgraced over 1m4f last time in a better grade; one to include in calculations.
Tends to run her best races at Brighton/Kempton and yet to really get going this year running below form in her last two starts separated by ten weeks off. Still well above her last winning marks on turf or AW; needs to be showing more to support.
Far better than her form figures would have you believe; her last start exemplifying that fact (sixth at Brighton). Poorly placed after a slow start (failed to settle); still showed up well behind a few of today's rivals; not written off.
Beat several of today's rivals on his first start for the yard running better than for quite some while with any headgear now removed. Attempted to make all over today's trip; still features on a handy mark if he can replicate his last start.
Yet to win a race (0-10) but has run some consistent enough races in slightly better handicaps than this (first time in 0-55 company). On a fair enough mark and appreciates a sound surface; has looked a bit quirky on occasions, small race in her.
Not disgraced of late in a couple of 1m4f handicaps but hasn't on occasions looked the easiest under pressure; now tried in first-time cheekpieces. Drops to 1m2f now off a reduced mark but still looks to need a little more progress to score.
Tardy/slow starts are appearing to blight her chance at the moment having once again missed the break last time but still managing to finish a creditable third. Nudged up 2lbs for that effort she would enter the equation if she can get away on terms.
Just behind Sari Mareis last time at Chepstow when recording a respectable effort on her handicap debut (caught close home; finished fourth). Generously dropped 1lb (mark already looked lenient), open to improvement, may be better back at 1m.
Yet to really get involved in a race including on her handicap debut over 7f on the AW last time (slow away). Now tries a much longer trip back on turf having been dropped 1lb; hard to make a cogent case for her on the evidence so far.
Showed flashes of inspiration in AW events including on handicap debut but didn't look to get home on that occasion. Did stick on well enough over this trip last time though and now off a lowly mark for a good stable, more needed in reality.
Forecasts
All Right (9/2), Clive Clifton (5/1), Red Archangel (6/1), Iballisticvin (6/1), Whimsical Dream (7/1), Rainbow Jazz (7/1), Riverina (12/1), Sari Mareis (12/1), Rocksette (14/1), Fanny Chenal (16/1), With Approval (25/1), Solveig's Song (50/1)
A very complex low-grade handicap with plenty that can be given a chance of landing this prize headed by last year’s winner Rainbow Jazz whose first win that was; he runs this time off a 1lb lower mark. All Right failed to reward some good support on her handicap debut but can be given another chance alongside Clive Clifton and Iballisticvin who is a course winner with the visor going on for the first-time to hopefully eke out some progress. There’s a race in Sari Mareis if she can get away on level terms with the nod just given to RED ARCHANGEL. She’s got less miles on the clock than most of these will like the ground and is taken to record her first victory.
- Red Archangel
- Iballisticvin
- All Right
