Son of Group 1-winning two-year-old out of a dam who failed to win a race at this trip and over further in four starts. Best watched on debut.
Inauspicious start to racing career when 10th of 12 over C&D in late June. Hung badly that day and needs to be more streetwise to have a say in proceedings.
Performed slightly better than on his debut when 100/1 seventh in C&D novice contest a week ago. Outpaced that day and likely to go closer in races over further. Others preferred.
€65,000 yearling purchase out of a dam who won one race over 1m4f Sire was a useful sprinter and notable if there is market support on debut.
Defied market drift on debut when good second in 6f maiden at Chepstow at the start of the month. That form sets the standard and is a leading contender.
Improved for the step up in trip when second of 13 over C&D last time out. Slow start seemed to cost him that day but has the scope for further progress. Solid claims if breaking well.
Didn't register expected progression from debut when 10L fifth in similar contest at Newmarket (7f, good to firm). Could be vulnerable to less exposed types in this contest.
72,000 gns purchase at the breeze-up in May and ran better than the result suggested when 6l ninth 6f Kempton novice. Needs to improve on that effort but has place claims.
Well beaten third on debut at Bath (5f, good to firm) and the form of that race hasn't worked out since. Has to step up on that run but can't be discounted for a yard who excel with juveniles.
Dandy Man filly who regressed on second start when 15L seventh in 6f Lingfield novice contest. This will be her first run since wind surgery but others make more appeal.
Daughter of Bated Breath who was well beaten when eighth of nine at Newbury (7f, good to soft) on debut. Plenty to prove now.
Forecasts
Fleeting Prince (11/10), Hubert (7/4), King's View (12/1), Comvida (14/1), Modern British Art (16/1), Bowling Russian (20/1), Claudia Jean (20/1), Awesome Gary (40/1), Queenoftheclyde (50/1), Staycee (50/1), Camacho Man (66/1)
HUBERT's run over C&D took the eye and was the likely winner had he not fluffed his lines at the start. He is likely to be more streetwise for this contest and can go one place better in this. Fleeting Prince ran with credit on debut and is entitled to improve for that effort but was well held that day while the extra furlong can only be a positive for Claudia Jean for a yard who have hit strong form in recent days.
- Hubert
- Fleeting Prince
- Claudia Jean
