Been on the go running 17 times since October running but seems to be thriving. Scored at Thirsk off 4lb lower mark in June and failed by just a short head over 1m6f at Catterick last time. First-tme cheekpieces now applied.
Steps up 2f having looked one paced last time and remains a maiden after 11 attempts to date. Eased 1lb and longer trip may well help the cause.
Landed Market Rasen bumper in April but hasn't suggested he's a winner-in-waiting in trhee starts on the Flat at up to 1m3f. Makes handicap bow here but hard to fancy unless there's a positive market move.
Eight-time dual purpose winner who looked set for hurdles victory at Cartmel recently when falling at the last. Having first run on Flat turf since September 2017 off 7lb lower mark and has possibilities if recovered from his tumble.
Six wins to his name at up to 1m6f so no stamina doubts. Has been knocking on the door in each of his last three runs and another decent show looks on the cards.
Won selling handicap here over 1m2f last month then stayed on when fourth at Ayr last time at that trip. Steps up in distance now and is less exposed than many of his rivals.
Finally off the mark last time at the 16th attempt stepping up to around this trip having previously been campaigned at up to a mile. Could be more to come at this distance so is of some interest of just 1lb higher mark.
Hinted at a little ability in two of three maiden runs but refused to settle and was tailed off on handicap bow at Carlisle last time. That was too bad to be true. 3lb lower and shrewd yard may place him to advantage before long.
Hasn't won for two years and showed lttle in first two runs this term. Bit better last time and now feasibly handicapped so not out of it but more needed than seen of late.
Only win came over 6f at Brighton as a juvenile and has been badly out of form since joining current yard in March last year. Beaten out fo sight in selling handicap last time and is very hard to fancy.
Fairly slow maiden handicapper who had the run off the race when trying to make all at Catterick last time, eventually finishing a fair fourth. Hard to see him breaking his duck here dropping back in trip.
Yet to score beyond 1m2f and faded last time over that trip at Beverely where respectable sixth. Nicely handicapped on pick of form but hard to know if the extra two furlongs will actually help his cause.
Shown very little in five starts to date over a variety of trip, the last two since switching to current handler. Very hard to make a case for hm and others readily preferred.
Stable companion of Stormin Norman. Showed very little in first five starts but better last time when third off 1lb higher mark in Pontefract 1m4f h'cap. Comes into the reckoning with fine rider on board.
First-time cheekpieces applied on this Oasis Dream filly who has shown very little of note in four starts so far. Dropped 5lb since last run but really needs to raise her game to figure even at this lowly level.
Forecasts
Myklachi (13/8), Point Of Honour (15/2), Seek The Moon (8/1), Jan De Heem (10/1), Dew Pond (10/1), Burnage Boy (10/1), Strategic (14/1), Stormin Norman (16/1), My Renaissance (20/1), Metronomic (25/1), Magrevio (28/1), Midnight Warrior (28/1), Royal Liberty (40/1), Ateescomponent (50/1), Kostantina (50/1)
An open middle-distance handicap but STRATEGIC has fair claims after proving a revelation when stepped up to this trip last time where he won in good style. Top weight Dew Pond has cheekpieces added to keep him honest having gone very close last time, while My Renaissance has solid credentials if he has fully recovered from falling at the last when in front at Cartmel two weeks ago. Jan De Heem and Myklachi both have a squeak, and any money for the unexposed Ateescomponent would be very interesting.
- Strategic
- My Renaissance
- Dew Pond
