Won a Class 3 Sandown conditions race as a juvenile and returned with two smart runs in Listed class when not beaten far. Well beaten last time at Sandown and while the step back up in trip looks in his favour, this is a tough ask from top weight.

Won each of his first three starts, the last of which was in Group 2 company at Goodwood. Has looked regressive since but handicap mark is falling and yard in form so not one to rule out if he can bounce back.

Has won four of his seven starts and best effort yet when producing a game effort to win at Yarmouth. Looks as if this step up in trip could yield further improvement but it will have to for him to play a part in this deeper race from 5lb higher.

Won on both starts either side of the winter and ran well in defeat in a valuable handicap at Newbury on second start this season when third of 15, travelling well. Possibly caught out by the step up in trip at Royal Ascot.

Won a pair of novice events as a juvenile. Running okay in defeat this term but up another 1lb for his latest run and others make more appeal.

Won a race in France as a juvenile and has been running well in defeat in three runs for this yard including last time out when he wasn't drawn high enough at Royal Ascot. Dropped 1lb and may be capable of better.

Showed some promise as a juvenile and returned with two wins, one here (1m, Rowley) and Ascot. Subsequent handicap mark appears to have halted his progress but step up in trip might suit.

Improved markedly from two to three-years-old. Only found one too good a decent Sandown handicap before winning here (Rowley, 1m) next time out. Respectable run in defeat at Royal Ascot, though was on the right end of the draw bias.

Made it three wins from his last six starts when bolting up at Windsor last time out. Certainly helped by being held up off a strong pace that day and runner-up didn't do anything for the form next time. Opposable from 9lb higher here.

Won a 7f novice event at Newcastle as a juvenile and returned with a 1m2f win on the Rowley course. Well beaten at Newbury next time but weakened quickly that day and likely that wasn't his true running. Given time to recover and may do better here.

Impressive when bolting up in a Chelmsford maiden and that form has worked out well. Beaten a long way in Listed class on return but ground a potential excuse and could be on a handy mark.

All three wins have come on AW but he's effective on turf and wasn't seen to best effect at Epsom last time when the winner was allowed first run. could well have more to give here from this kind of handicap mark.

Bolted up in a maiden at Newbury having already shown promise with on AW but an opening mark of 90 proved beyond him in two subsequent runs. Dropped 1lb but needs to bounce back and the undulating nature of this venue poses a new question.

Won a novice event at Newcastle on debut and while he was a disappointing beaten short priced favourite on his return here in April, it was a much better effort when only narrowly denied at Chelmsford last time. Sure to have more to give.

Verdict

Plenty of unexposed three-year-olds in the line up but ALLMANKIND appears to be on decent mark for handicap debut here and the soft ground at Chester when last seen is a plausible excuse for that below par effort. Alkaamel has been unlucky not to get his head in front on turf so far this campaign and he can go well after a smart effort in defeat at Epsom last time. Given the form Cardano has been in, it would be no surprise to see the gelding hitting the frame despite being 1lb wrong at the weights.
  1. Allmankind
  2. Alkaamel
  3. Cardano
