Last two wins have come here on the AW track. Outpaced over inadequate trip on seasonal return but back to optimum distance now and should strip fitter for that seasonal pipe-opener 33 days ago.
Gave impression a step up in trip was needed when staying on steadily into sixth on handicap bow at Leicester last time over 1m2f. Eased 2lb and yard ticking over steadily so looks a major player and remains unexposed.
Has turned over a new leaf this term for current handler since moving from sprinting to middle distances. On a four-timer after wins at Yarmouth and Windsor (twice) and should make a bold bid under 6lb penalty for same jockey.
Poor strike rate off just 2-40 but last success came over this C&D last August on soft ground, off 1lb higher mark. Ran creditably in handicaps this spring but less encouraging last two efforts and needs to bounce back to figure.
€325,000 Shamardal colt hails from top yard. Has shown ability all four starts including on handicap bow last time over 1m4f when looked tricky ride and didn't settle well. Eased 1lb and remains relatively unexposed so has to be respected.
