Nine-race maiden on turf, the Rip Van Winkle gelding has been running with credit this term without getting his head in front. Deserves a change in fortune and likely to be in the shake up.
Gelding who appears more suited to the AW at Dundalk than on turf where he still seeks his first win in seven starts. Yard going well but others look more convincing.
Solid and consistent sort who has landed all five career wins on turf from 36 starts. Worryingly well held on a couple of starts this season and is unlikely to be improving at his age.
Deservedly off the mark at the fourth time of asking for connections when taking a Navan 1m5f maiden last month. More to come for yard in form and in first time cheekpieces on handicap debut.
Will have disappointed leading connections in a number of below par efforts since returning to action at Tipperary last month. That said must still come in to consideration on handicap debut in first time cheekpieces.
Won on his third start on the Flat when landing a Tipperary 1m1f handicap in April off a 4lb lower mark. Beaten since including over hurdles at Kilbeggan last month. May find one or two stronger in this contest.
Miserly return of one win from 15 starts on turf for the gelding but does manage to hit the frame with great consistency. Place claims at best again.
Not disgraced in four career defeats to date but appears to be susceptible to one or two more talented sorts. First time blinkers needed to work their magic.
Forecasts
Building Bridges (4/5), One Cool Poet (5/1), Rock On Seamie (7/1), Rips Dream (8/1), Karasheni (10/1), Shadow Seven (12/1), Jumellea (20/1), Hurricane Sky (33/1)
It's difficult to get away from the chances of BUILDING BRIDGES in first time cheekpieces for the in form Jessica Harrington yard. The New Approach colt can improve on his Navan win over a similar trip last month to see off the challenge of the Dermot Weld-trained, Karasheni. Recent Leopardstown third, Rips Dream and One Cool Poet for trainer Matthew Smith can battle for the minor honours.
- Building Bridges
- Karasheni
- One Cool Poet
