Has progressed nicely with each run this year, culminating in a win over this distance at Newcastle on AW debut. Raised 6lb but on an upward curve and rates a leading contender. Stable also runs Kharbetation.
Lost his form over hurdles for Gordon Elliott in Ireland and now returns to the Flat for new stable following wind surgery. Remains 2lb higher than last Flat win when trained by Richard Hannon in 2017 and ideally wants a touch further.
Sold for €65,000 in November 2018, one month after winning a 22-runner Leopardstown maiden for Michael Halford. Progressed from stable debut with a good fourth at York over a furlong shorter and suited by this extra test. Leading hope.
Former Godolphin inmate returned from a very long absence of 560 days for new yard with two tailed off runs last month. Remains best watched until signs of promise.
Sole handicap win came off 4lb higher over a mile and although better in a slowly run race over this trip at Ripon last time, has yet to confirm he needs this far. Stable also runs Autretot.
Six-time winner now 2lb below last winning mark but his last four successes have come at further. Better efforts the last twice but would ideally prefer some cut in the ground.
Remains 4lb higher than last win with 1m3.5f also the shortest distance he has won at. However ran a good second over 1m0.5f last time and this extra test will only suit. Stable won this last year.
Won on his second start in novice company last year but has been set some stiff tasks in three starts (Listed and then two strong handicaps) this time around. Gets a welcome drop in grade.
Up 6lb for 1m1f Hamilton success last month and now also raised significantly in class. All wins have come in a lesser grade and while conditions are fine, he is likely to find this much tougher.
Irish raider for a stable amongst the winners at present. All four wins have come on the AW at Dundalk with just one third from 11 turf starts. Would need to raise his game based on his return to turf last time.
Gained a second career win and a first for this stable when scoring over 1m0.5f at Hamilton last time. Hit the line as though this trip could suit but a 9lb rise and a step up in class will require a bit more again.
Forecasts
Cockalorum (3/1), Autretot (10/3), Five Helmets (9/2), Dark Lochnagar (5/1), Regal Mirage (10/1), Four Kingdoms (12/1), Wild Shot (14/1), Kharbetation (20/1), Restive (25/1), Pete So High (33/1), Ennjaaz (66/1)
AUTETROT should be fine returning to turf and has shown clear progress over this distance the last twice and could still be ahead of the handicapper. Cockalorum improved for his stable debut and was running on strongly over a furlong shorter last start. Four Kingdoms ideally wants further but also caught the eye over shorter and likewise will be suited by this stiffer test.
- Autretot
- Cockalorum
- Four Kingdoms
