Now 7lb below last winning mark and all his five wins have come in seven or eight runner races. Last four runs though have been very disappointing and more needed now.

Hurdle winner in March and on last winning Flat mark. Below par the last twice but gets a welcome and significant drop in grade and could easily bounce back. One to consider.

Five time winner on turf with the last coming over this C&D in May off 2lb lower. Has held her form in two starts since and although this would require another career best, she is likely to be thereabouts.

Won a claimer last year but last handicap win came in August 2017. Previous try at this far (at this track) was unconvincing stamina wise and others preferred.

Up 5lb for win at Doncaster over this distance last month, leaving this year's poor form well behind. This revised mark would require a career best improved effort but she could be on the rise again and is well suited by this C&D.

Now 8lb below last winning mark but that losing run now stretches back to April 2017. Capable of going close on his best form this year but remains hard to predict.

Mr Carbonator16
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-6| J: Phil Dennis| T: P A Kirby| OR:  60
5/1
Finished 10 times either second or third on turf from 18 starts but still without a win with all three career successes coming on the AW. Has been pounding out a consistent run of solid and consistent efforts this year and likely to go close again.

Forecasts

Bollin Joan (9/4), Billy Roberts (9/2), Mr Carbonator (5/1), Placebo Effect (5/1), Kilbaha Lady (13/2), Indomeneo (7/1), Miss Mumtaz (8/1)

Verdict

Mr Carbonator is proving very reliable at present and while it's frustrating that he's failed to convert on turf, he's liable to go close again. Kilbaha Lady and Bollin Joan head here in form and while their current marks require more, they are very likely to be involved. A chance though is taken with MISS MUMTAZ who gets a big drop in class and is back on a winnable mark.
  1. Miss Mumtaz
  2. Mr Carbonator
  3. Bollin Joan
