Connections have struggled to find the right trip for this gelding; dropping back here after weakening over 1m5f at Leopardstown last time out. First time blinkers may help and one to be considered.
Well beaten in three maidens to date. Never too far away but looks unlikely to do well on his handicap debut unless the market speaks in his favour.
Generally runs well for a long way in his races until being found out close home. Suspicion is that the handicapper has his level and needs to drop a few pounds to get competitive at the business end of the race.
Has been given some respite by the handicapper but for a reason - his last four runs have been well below par. Slight chance based on his run in a Dundalk maiden earlier this year.
Slowly slipping to a decent racing weight and has put in some consistent efforts without looking like winning this season. Has chances but would not want the ground to dry out too much.
Ran some useful efforts last season in handicaps on the AW at Dundalk but has failed to sparkle this season on turf. Is dropping down the handicap but more evidence of his ability on this surface needed to be confident about his chances.
Has run two decent races since going handicapping including last time out in first-time cheekpieces. Needs to step up a gear to get competitive but slowly falling down the weights.
Never started at shorter than 50/1 on his four racecourse appearances. On the plus side his best effort cam last time out at Down Royal over an extended 1m2f when slightly unlucky in running. Good place chances.
Little to recommend him on last season's form and finished last on his seasonal reappearance at Cork in May. Best watched until showing some signs of enthusiasm for racing.
First-time cheekpieces brought out the best in this gelding last time out at Leopardstown when only beaten a neck into third place. Has been dropped another 1lb by the handicapper and very interesting betting proposition if the price is right.
Not the most consistent but has some ability. Never really got into the race last time out at Naas but has previous good form at Fairyhouse and Leopardstown. Any market moves would be of interest.
Won well at Navan having grabbed an early lead two starts ago before disappointing for no particular reason last time out at Cork. Needs to put that run behind her but is lightly-raced enough to be progressive. Interesting contender.
Connections have yet to find his ideal trip. Best effort was arguably over a mile at Naas in April. Tried over an extened 1m2f at Sligo last time out, he ran reasonably without threatening. Drop in trip should suit and a ready contender.
Not beaten too far in recent efforts at Cork and Fairyhouse. Has been given a bit of relief by the handicapper and capable at this trip and happy on a fast surface. One for the shortlist.
Much improved effort last time out at Leopardstown over a mile when an unfancied 50/1. Will not start that short here and a reproduction of that form would see him go very close.
Unfancied and well beaten on all her racecourse appearances to date. Tried in cheekpieces for the first time here but no real confidence she can challenge for honours.

EYEOWEYOU can reward backers and get off the mark at the ninth time of asking based on a pleasing run last time out at Leopardstown when he was beaten narrowly in first time cheekpieces. He now looks on a winning handicap mark. If Light Breeze can put a poor run last time out behind her then she is capable of getting back to winning ways. A lively possible outsider to consider is Puddymore who belied his odds to run a cracker last time out and if in the same mood could go close.
- Eyeoweyou
- Light Breeze
- Puddymore
