Horse A-Z
Avonbridge filly who was seventh of eight on her debut at Lingfield (6f, AW) and failed to improve on that form when filling the same spot at Bath last month. No great appeal this side of handicaps.

Horse silk
6/1
Dark Angel filly who is closely related to 6f winner Qaaraat, from a good Cheveley Park family. Wouldn't need to be a star to get involved on racecourse bow, although yard has a modest strike-rate with newcomers here (5-107 since 2014).

7/2
Raven's Pass filly out of an Italian Group 3 winner. Ran on well when 3¼L second of 12 to Shadn in a 6f maiden at Kempton on debut, and looks sure to improve. Sets the standard for the newcomers to aim at.

Horse silk
100/1
Due Diligence filly who is the first foal of a well-related maiden. Yard very quiet, and yard just 1-43 with 2-y-o newcomers in last 5 years.

Horse silk
Jouska
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: M Dwyer| T: H Candy
10/1
Cable Bay half-sister to useful 6½f/7f winner Wasim and 1m1½f/1m2½f winner Demonstration. Both yard's juveniles to run this year have been unplaced, but this filly still merits a market check.

Horse silk
15/2
Exceed and Excel filly out of a winning half-sister to very smart sprinter Fleeting Spirit. Yard 2-8 with newcomers here in last couple of years, so she isn't taken lightly, especially if the market speaks for her.

(2)
Horse silk
11/10
Bated Breath half-sister to useful 2-y-o 6f-1m1f winner Nate The Great. Yard has an excellent record with juveniles, and this expensive and well-bred filly tops the shortlist as a consequence.
9
(8)
Horse silk
100/1
Cable Bay filly who was well beaten on her recent debut here after an awkward start. Might do better with the benefit of that experience, but hard to be confident, and left alone now.

Horse silk
Vividly
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-0| J: K Shoemark| T: C Hills
14/1
By Charm Spirit out of Listed 1m1½f AW winner Zero Gravity, herself a sister to Grand Prix du Paris winner Zambezi Sun. Makes some appeal on debut, for all dam's previous progeny have not met expectations.

Forecasts

So Sharp (11/10), Fair Pass (7/2), Dark Lady (6/1), Miss Paxman (15/2), Jouska (10/1), Vividly (14/1), Aust Ferry (28/1), Chateau Peapod (66/1), Final Deal (100/1), The Red Witch (100/1)

Verdict

SO SHARP can provide yet another success for Archie Watson in what looks a very winnable race, and she's better bred than most of these into the bargain. Fair Pass kept on well for a place on debut, and sets the standard, such as it is, with Miss Paxman another interesting newcomer for a yard who can ready one, especially here.
