Created a good impression when staying on well to score on debut over C&D three weeks ago. Mixed messages since from those in behind but this Lethal Force gelding looks decent and sets a fair standard.

Brazen Beau colt whose dam was a multiple winner at up to a mile at a good level. Green on debut when fifth behind Commanche Falls but is 5lb better off at the weights and will have learned plenty.

Footstepsinthesand gelding who was in touch until weakening well over 1f out on debut in York maiden last month. Should have come on for that experience in what was a higher grade contest.

Gelded son of Music Master whose dam won at both 6f and 7f. Well beaten when last of 10 on debut here three weeks ago and likely to need more time to find his feet.

Stable companion of Spygate. Elzaam colt who cost just £6,500 at Ascot Breeze Up Sales in April. Top yard always respected but may be better for this debut experience.

Morpheus gelding who is a half-brother to useful sprint handicapper Savalas. Yard not known for winning juveniles, especially on debut, so a watching brief is best advised for now.

Attracted a little market support at big odds ahead of recent debut over C&D where led 1f out only to be caught well inside final furlong. Good effort and there could be more to come so looks worthy of consideration.

Hot Streak filly who looked an awkward ride when last of five on debut at Musselburgh in May for Noel Wilson. Has joined a new yard and returns following wind surgery. Others make much more appeal.

€19,000 No Nay Never filly who never got into the contest when down the field on debut over C&D a fortnight ago. May have benefitted from the run and worth a market check for shrewd stable.

11,000 guineas daughter of sprinter Equiano, half-sister to five individual winner, including over jumps. Yard yet to have a juvenile winner here from a handful of previous runners.

6/1
Dragon Pulse filly who looked green as grass first half of race on debut here three weeks ago before staying on well inside final furlong to finish an eyecatching third. Could be more to come and may not be at all far away for in-form jockey.

Looked clueless on debut when last of 11 at Redcar but learned plenty and did much better last time when runner-up at Carlisle. More needed, but seems to be going the right way for fine yard.

Harry Love (11/4), Commanche Falls (11/4), Spygate (3/1), Kayewhykelly (6/1), Naseeb (8/1), Dream Together (16/1), Moonlighting (20/1), The Works (28/1), Singe Anglais (33/1), Jay Me Lo (50/1), Hot Heir (50/1), Newsical (100/1), Ontheradar (100/1)

Verdict

It won't be easy to give 5lb and more away to his rivals but COMMAMCHE FALLS could be decent and can follow-up his impressive winning debut over C&D last month. There are a number of dangers, including Harry Love and Kaywhykelly, second and third here on their respective debuts last time and who are both open to improvement. As too are Moonlighting and Spygate. This looks an easier task for Singe Anglais who ran in a decent York event on debut.
  1. Commanche Falls
