Won the Queen's Prize over C&D last season, and added another C&D win to his CV in February. Well beaten in former contest on latest start, however, and handicapper hasn't cut him any slack.
Dual 2m winner at Chester on quick ground last season, and much his better effort this term when 1½L fourth of 10 to Nuits St Georges at Goodwood last time. Clearly back in fine order, and shortlisted from the same mark.
Running well of late, and far from disgraced when third of 6 over 1½m at Salisbury last time. That race has worked out well, and while he was well beaten on his only try beyond that trip, he's worth another try given he lacks a change of gear.
Won over 1½m here in March, and stays this trip, but has been disappointing on recent starts, albeit faced with barely raceable going at Chester last time. Needs to bounce back.
Fair dual purpose performer. Not beaten far on latest outing at Goodwood over two miles on soft ground last month, but clearly held by Master Archer on that form, and must step up markedly now.
Seemed to be on the rise to better things last summer, winning a trio of 1¾m handicaps on turf/AW. Has run progressively worse in three subsequent runs, however, and suddenly has a lot to prove.
Won the 2016 County Hurdle, and after a lengthy break, he shaped very well when second of 12 to Sassie over C&D last time after being left poorly placed. Should build on that, perhaps markedly, and is one to bear in mind.
Improved upon first turf start of the year when third at Goodwood, and enjoyed a clearer passage when scoring at Sandown last time from Diocletian. Up 4lb for that, but gives the impression he will cope with the rise, and is capable of better yet.
Won by a wide margin from Superb Story here last month, but had plenty go her way, and latest third at Pontefract, while confirming her still in form, suggests she may just be in the handicapper's grip.
Relatively lightly raced over the seasons and has been campaigned over hurdles of late. Last Flat performance was when a respectable fourth of five at Chepstow (2m) on easy going last August. Visor now tried after a good effort over hurdles in May.
