7/2
Won his last two on the AW albeit on a different surface (Polytrack) at Chelmsford over this trip, both those victories coming last year. Struggled in both of his starts this year (7f last time); plenty to prove unless an AW return sparks him.

11/4
Given stiff tasks when last seen on the AW (both times on Polytrack); has won on Tapeta over this trip at Wolverhampton. Highly tried on turf last time (ran as well as could be expected); should run with credit back in a handicap (mark looks high).

10/1
6f winner Newbury maiden winner who ended the season on a good note for his old yard off a 4lb lower mark. Seasonal/stable debut making his Tapeta debut (has been gelded); not out of this off this mark; may lack race sharpness of some.

Que Amorop5

6/1
AW debut having won twice as a juvenile on quick turf over 5f at Beverley and Catterick. Based on her Redcar run last time should be able to make an impact in this grade (needs emphasis on speed); travels well, of interest if handling surface.

12/1
C&D winner on her second career start having had experience of the track on debut as a juvenile. Not shown anything like her juvenile form this year in three starts including one over C&D; well beaten last time, others appeal far more.

9/4
Winner on her last start for William Haggas over 5f; shaped well on two of her three starts for this new yard. Produced a performance on par with her first start for this yard at Redcar last time (closely matched with Que Amoro); first AW start.

Forecasts

True Hero (9/4), Superseded (9/4), Yolo Again (11/4), Prince of Rome (7/2), Wedding Date (4/1), Que Amoro (6/1), Almurr (10/1), Little Legs (12/1)

Verdict

The race that Superseded won at Wolverhampton wouldn’t have been as tough as this and even with the assistance of Silvestre De Sousa John Butler’s charge is going to have to find more again under a penalty always assuming this race doesn’t come too quickly. The Redcar race that saw TRUE HERO finish one place in front of Que Amoro could well hold the key to this, the former of that duo still looks nicely weighted and he’s taken to confirm those placings and gain a deserved win. Almurr is worth a market check on his stable debut while it will be interesting to see if a return to the AW sparks a revival out of Prince Of Rome.
  1. True Hero
  2. Que Amoro
  3. Superseded
