By Showcasing and cost connections €80,000, though will have to take a marked step forward on debut showing over a mile at Navan this month to feature.
Sent off a 50-1 chance on debut at Cork (1m2f) and never a threat to principles in finishing 10th of 17 runners, plenty more will be needed.
Good 1L second in a 1m3f maiden at Killarney (good) last time out. Drop in trip shouldn't inconvenience too much and he is one to note for a useful yard with form already working out well.
Australia colt cost connections €25,000. Dam, maiden (stayed 1m), sister to smart winner up to 1m4f Forgotten Voice. Plenty stamina in pedigree, yard going well.
Colt by Australia out of a Holy Roman Emperor mare. Career best effort when finishing third of 11 beaten 2½L in a Navan 1m5f maiden earlier this month on good to yielding ground. Open to significant improvement.
Son of Garswood has twice made the frame in as many starts at Gowran Park and Down Royal so far, latest when upped to 1m2½f. Should have claims of getting involved again.
Iffraaj filly, looked in need of the run when making seasonal reappearance and stepping up to this sort of trip. Likely will have more to offer before long.
Bred to get this trip and looks to be improving with each run; worth a betting check but wouldn't want too much give underfoot seemingly.
Galileo filly, sister to a US winner and dam a US Grade 1 winner. Hasn't done enough in previous starts at Navan and Cork (both 1m2f) to warrant the vote here.
Forecasts
Lancastria (15/8), Macquarie (11/4), Wildewood (9/2), Leo De Fury (7/1), Grinn (8/1), Switch Around (16/1), For Your Eyes (20/1), Case In Point (33/1), El Chico Mejor (66/1)
Having shaped with plenty promise at Killarney on debut, LANCASTRIA saw that form take a boost last week when the winner ran well at Royal Ascot in a Group 2. Her trainer has a good recent record in this contest and further improvement should make her the one to beat. Grinn was second in a fair maiden at Gowran last time and rates a danger with Leo De Fury and Macquarie amongst the possible improvers.
- Lancastria
- Grinn
