Galileo colt. Full brother to the yards Bond Street who is a fair sort, took a while to get hang of things on debut this month at Leopardstown (7f, good to firm; 11-4f) before finishing third. Should have improvement for top trainer.
Oasis Dream colt cost connections a hefty 350,000 gns. Dam 1m-1m3f winner (US Grade 3), half-sister to smart winner up to 1m Steip Amach. One for the notebook on debut.
Colt by Invincible Spirit with plenty going for him on breeding. Has shown in two 6f run at this track and Fairyhouse to suggest he can get involved here with more to come over new trip.
Free Eagle colt. Half-brother to numerous winners, including useful winner up to 1m Sceptre Rouge; yard in good form currently, though others have more pressing claims on paper.
115,000 gns yearling. Half-brother to several winners the best of which was 1m 4f Listed winner Rose Rized. Dam won at this trip as a juvenile so starting off at the right trip on breeding.
American Pharoah colt, cost $1m as a yearling. Half-brother to five winners including a Group 1 winner and dam was a winner over a similar trip as a juvenile in Grade 2 class. Could hardly make much more appeal on paper for powerful connections.
Mastercraftsman colt has changed for some fair money, shaped better on second start at Navan (5½f, good to yielding; 14-1) recently and interesting upped in journey for yard in form.
Footstepsinthesand gelding, cost €23,000 as a yearling and related to multiple winners. Should have something to offer before too long.
War Front colt, dam a Group 1 winner, no match for stablemate Arizona (won Coventry at Royal Ascot since) on debut around here but finished fair third despite traffic in the run. Should have more to offer.
Speightstown colt with plenty going for him on breeding and in very good hands ahead of debut run. Market tends to get trainer's newcomers right.
48,000 gns Kitten's Joy Brother to two winners, including smart US winner up to 1m1f Amen Kitten (place in US Grade 1). Market will reveal expectations in a decent maiden.
Forecasts
Armory (4/7), New World Tapestry (5/1), Radetsky (8/1), Hong Kong (10/1), Arranmore (16/1), Kingslayer (16/1), Daoub (25/1), Jungle Cove (28/1), Hint Of Stars (50/1), Free Royal (50/1), Shadow Wind (66/1)
With Gleneagles (2014) and Gustav Klimt (2017) being past winners of this, any money for HONG KONG in the betting will surely prove noteworthy, though stablemate Armory is a likely improver and danger alongside the third Ballydoyle contender, New World Tapestry. Arranmore and Hint Of Stars are also notable newcomers.
- Hong Kong
- Armory
