Looked like sprinting might be his game when folding late on in his recent handicap bow over 7f after showing good pace. Interesting contender here.

Upped 5lb today after winning for the first time latest on handicap debut at Salisbury over this trip. Should improve again now and rates a leading contender here.

Interesting very lightly raced four-year-old who returned from 452 days off to finish sixth beaten 11L on return at Kempton over 7f. Could do a deal better now and very interesting given how unexposed he is.

Snapped a three-year losing run at Nottingham on soft ground in May and ran to a similar level latest when fourth at Haydock. Not ruled out although others may prove better treated.

Knocking on the door in the spring for Stuart Williams but not yet settled in to same vein of form in two starts for this yard although latest was a tall order. Others preferred.

Slow to start and green on handicap debut at Nottingham yet still came away to win by 1L earlier this month. Upped 5lb but sure she has more to give and bigger field here could be right up her street.

Busy six-year-old with modest 3-49 strike-rate, most recently at Chepstow (6f, good; 9-2) last summer. Yet to fire in three starts this season and others appeal more.

Handicap continues to tumble but having been tailed off last at Lingfield last month it's hard to make a persuasive case.

Three-time winner in 2018 has run sound races the last twice on very different ground conditions. Looks likely to be winning again soon enough and one for the shortlist here.

Three-year-old in this field gained second career success at Salisbury last time out when winning in a canter by 7L over 7f. Drop to 6f and 9lb hike to overcome here on quicker ground.

Seven-race maiden consistent enough in last four races over 5f to think that if he improves for a step up he could play a part, cheek-pieces added now also.

Remained consistent last season after winning at Bath in June but form in 2019 considerably less persuasive and others appeal more at present.

Much better on AW (all five scores on the surface) and considering she was well held there the last twice and is out of the handicap here she's easy to rule out.

Verdict

Plenty in with chances as you might expect in such a contest but lightly raced recent Nottingham winner ROSE HIP gets the nod given she won despite showing inexperience there. Raincall won at Salisbury and has a very similar profile to the selection overall and her claims are similarly solid. Lightly raced four-year-old Lilbourne Star is a fascinating contender in his second race after missing 15 months of action.
