Ascended¹⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: Kerrin McEvoy| T: W J Haggas| OR: 82

6/4

Shed her maiden tag at the fourth attempt at Wolverhampton (7f, standard) earlier this month after three respectable starts as a juvenile. Has the best form coming into the race and top international jockey booked to ride. Sets the standard.

Form: 233-1

Zofelle^t1³⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: P Cosgrave| T: H Palmer| OR: 81

10/1

Only a Doncaster maiden success to her name and hasn't hit that form in four starts since, including when 11th of 15 in competitive York handicap (7f, good to firm) last time. Down 4lb and this is an easier contest, but has plenty to prove.

Form: 10-260

She's Got You⁵¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: K T O'Neill| T: J & T Gosden| OR: 81

15/8

Half-sister to Group One winners Without Parole and Tamarkuz. Was slowly away and raced awkwardly when third in a Salisbury Novice contest (7f, good to firm) but is open to progress on handicap debut. Interesting contender.

Form: 41-3

Mulan²⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: K Shoemark| T: Sir Michael Stoute| OR: 77

7/2

Improved from her juvenile season to land Leicester contest (7f, good) on seasonal and handicap debut. Raised 5lb for that win but has the scope for further improvement for yard in flying form. Dangerous to ignore.

Form: 866-1

(2)

Aubretia²³¹

Age: 3| Weight: 8-10| J: M Dwyer| T: R Hannon| OR: 71

14/1

Maiden from four starts as a juvenile and disappointed on handicap debut on last run as a two-year-old when fifth of seven at the Rowley Mile (1m1f, soft) last September. Best watched on her comeback start.

Form: 4975-

Forecasts

Ascended (6/4), She's Got You (15/8), Mulan (7/2), Zofelle (10/1), Aubretia (14/1)

Ascended holds the strongest form in what looks to be strong race for this grade and has the profile for further improvement over this distance, while She's Got You still remains unexposed and will be thereabouts if she has learnt to race more sensibly since her Salisbury defeat. However, MULAN can back up her facile Leicester success in a similar contest for a trainer whose horses seem to thrive with racing and age.
