Improved in two runs this term and found just one too good in a 6f apprentice contest here last month in first-time blinkers. Just 1lb higher, and big chance with drop in trip not looking an issue.
Goes well for this rider, and the combination have never finished worse than second in four starts. Below form under a change of jockey last time, but can bounce back.
All her wins have come around a turn on AW, with two more at Chelmsford this year for new trainer. Has run well on turf off this mark, so not easy to rule out in a modest affair.
Still a maiden, and while she has several creditable efforts to her name in handicaps, she is returning from a lengthy absence here, and has something to prove as a result.
Reliable sort who usually make the frame, and put in her best effort of the year when ½L second of 7 to Tundra on turf at Lingfield (6f, firm) last time. Drops in trip on softer ground now, but still merits consideration.
Does most of her racing at Chelmsford, and placed twice in handicaps there this year at 5f/6f. Back to form when 2¾L fourth of 10 to Billyoakes there last time, but more needed here.
Yet to add to novice win at Wolverhampton (6f) and seemed unsuited by 5f at Chelmsford last time, albeit badly drawn there. Capable of winning off this mark, but entitled to need this after a lengthy break.
n much better form when winning twice over 5f at Wolverhampton last year in similar company, and excuses having reared at the start at Chelmsford last time. Demonstrably not as effective on turf, however.
Runner-up at Chelmsford in February, but she has been out of sorts since, and makes scant appeal on recent form.
Forecasts
Honey Gg (9/4), Lethal Angel (4/1), Princess Keira (5/1), Precious Plum (7/1), Invisible Storm (8/1), Spenny's Lass (10/1), The Special One (12/1), Global Rose (12/1), Alaskan Bay (20/1)
Not many make great appeal on turf, and LETHAL ANGEL will be hard to beat if blinkers continue to have a positive effect. Honey Gg has yet to run badly with Cian MacRedmond riding, so she is likely to bounce back from a rare poor effort at Southwell, and Precious Plum completes the shortlist as she remains feasibly treated on the best of her turf form despite going up in the weights for two AW wins this year.
- Lethal Angel
- Honey Gg
- Precious Plum
