15:55 Ripon Thu 20 June 2019
Half-sister to the very talented Sheikhzayedroad; made a winning start to her career with ready 1m victories at Newmarket and Chelmsford; off since finishing third to a couple of GB-trained runners in a 1m Saint-Cloud Listed race last September.
Thirsk regular who finished just under 2L fourth (9/4f) in the 2019 Hunt Cup (1m, good) in May; didn't exactly sparkle when upped in trip at Epsom but remains a solid yardstick, and is noticeably dropping back in grade (into a Class 3).
Forged clear to win by 3½L in a Class 2 handicap at Haydock in April 2018; 2lb lower here and this is a far easier option than Newbury's Spring Cup; stays 1m2f well; would be a player on proper rain-softened ground.
Beaten less than 3L (fourth of five) in this race in 2018, and is a two-time Ripon winner; kept busy of late - seeks the hat-trick from a mark which is 3lb higher than when beating Be Kool by ½L in a Musselburgh Class 4 latest.
Lightly-raced, yet progressive 4yo colt; has shown a determined attitude in fending off all challengers when winning on the AW at Newcastle (1m2f) and Kempton (1m3f); tough task off a 5lb higher mark.
7lb lower than when recording the last of his three C&D wins in May 2018; won't mind the ground being good or soft and after finishing third to Mulligatawny at Ayr (penultimate) went mightily close at York (33/1) on Saturday.
4lb lower than when beating Mikmak by a neck (Mulligatawny third) over C&D last July; conditions will be very different today; finished fifth of 14 to a well backed stablemate of Ummainar in Redcar's Cl 2 Zetland Gold Cup latest.
Better known for his AW prowess; fluffed the start on debut for Tom Clover at Goodwood, but made no mistake when a commanding 11L winner of a Class 5 amateurs' race at Newbury (1m2f, soft) last week; well-in under a 4lb penalty.
Narrow winner of the Class 5 1m handicap (good) on this card in 2018 but has failed to add to that in ten subsequent starts; weakened quickly (12th of 14) at Beverley in May; grave stamina doubts in a deep race.
