Started the year with success on the AW at Southwell (6f) but hasn't gone close to scoring since then. Was a little better last time when fourth of 12 at Carlisle (7f). Has won on turf off a 2lb higher mark than this. Each-way claims.

Looked set to progress onto better things when he won two of his first three starts as a two-year-old last season. Has struggled since going handicapping. Did run well at Haydock (1m) last time when third of seven. One to consider.

Won on the AW at Kempton (1m) earlier this year. Has struggled on his two starts on turf so far though. First run for new yard but has to improve a lot on what she has shown so far, including latest when sixth of seven at Yarmouth (7f).

Ran well on first start for new yard on the AW at Chelmsford (7f) last month when going off at 25/1 in the betting. Is 0-5 on turf but he is fit and has had plenty of success over this distance on the AW. Each-way claims.

Showed some good form last year as a two-year-old with the pick of his runs coming at Wolverhampton (7f) on the AW where he was successful in a nine runner field. First run since January so he may just need it. Others preferred.

Went close to scoring at Beverley over the extended 7f trip two starts back when second of seven and only beaten by a neck. Did not build upon latest run though as he was sixth of 12 at Redcar (7f). Needs to bounce back.

Was fancied to go well last time at Yarmouth (7f, good to firm) when going off as the 6/4 favourite but could only finish third of seven. He is a lightly raced gelding who shouldn't be written off. One for your shortlist.

Was successful over this distance at Thirsk last season but has yet to score since. Went close at Musselburgh (7f) two starts back when second of five but needs to bounce back from below-form run Carlisle (1m) on his latest start.

Was the 5/2 favourite last time when fifth of eight at Hamilton (5f, good to firm). Drop down in mark once again so given an opportunity by the handicapper, however, conditions are a concern as she would prefer faster ground.

Forecasts

Kuwait Station (10/3), John Clare (10/3), Theatre Of War (4/1), Atletico (4/1), Stronsay (6/1), Cameo Star (8/1), Murdanova (10/1), Zylan (12/1), Super Florence (33/1), Elenora Delight (80/1)

Verdict

Although it has been a while since ATLETICO last tasted victory, his form recently suggests he won't have to wait much longer. This represents a good opportunity for him to go one better than his most recent outing on the AW at Chelmsford. Kuwait Station was a little unfortunate not finish better than third last time as he found trouble at the back of the race, with a little more luck he can feature here, while John Clare is worth sticking with despite leaving the money behind last time at Yarmouth.
