Capable sprint handicapper who ran well at Epsom in a hot race last time, but has little form on easy ground and all the signs are that he is a better on a decent surface.

Goes on any ground and comes here in good heart having won two of his last three races, most recently overcoming trouble in running to score over 6f at Goodwood. Raised 4lb but very much enters calculations in current form.

Still unexposed sprint handicapper whop geos well on an easy surface. Tends to be slow out of the stalls before staying on and might be picking the off late. Previous course and distance scorer is 3lb higher than last success.

Interesting jockey booking as rider is 3-9 for trainer overall. Pure 5f performer who can operate in soft ground and hasn't been beaten far in two starts since returning from winter break. 7lb higher than last win but has a solid chance.

Likeable veteran who is 2-3 at this track. Hasn't been at his best lately and handicapper has given him a proper chance dropping him 14lb since end of last season. Bold show wouldn't surprise on these terms. Due to run at Sandown on Saturday.

Handles soft ground well enough but doesn't go on heavy. Wasn't in the best of from last four outings last term and returns here after seven month absence off a mark 7lb lower than his last success. Has run creditably fresh the last trhee seasons.

Only success came on firm ground at Bath last year as a juvenile. Fair effort at Sandown in April but two poor efforts since and jury is out on her ability to handle testing rgound for the first time against older horses. Tough task.

Verdict

MAYGOLD may just have the edge in this closing sprint handicapper. Her jockey does well riding for this yard and she handles the easy ground so looks to have plenty going for her. Paddy Power, in good form at present, looks a big danger despite moving up the weights, while a decent effort on his seasonal return wouldn't surprise for Our Lord, who has gone well fresh in the past. Youkan also has a shout and will doubtless be finishing off well after his customary slow start, while old timers Boom The Groom and Pettochside cannot be ruled out if in the mood.
  1. Maygold
  2. Paddy Power
  3. Youkan
