Placed three times already this year, including returned to turf at Ayr last time, but didn't look to put it all in at the finish there, and no surprise to see a visor tried now. Claims if taking to the headgear.
Latest of six wins came in August 2017, and her form towards the tail end of 2018/early 2019 would strongly imply that she isn't the force of old. Well held on return at Chester, and much more needed now.
Well beaten on his return at Chester, but much better when 2¼L second of 15 to Ghalib at Hamilton last time, giving best inside final furlong. May do better again, and considered.
Won a 1¼m maiden at Sandown for John Gosden in June, but off until running poorly at Doncaster in late-October, and has something to prove starting out for a new yard after another absence.
Can start slowly and is not one for maximum faith as a result. Beaten over hurdles at a modest level since latest placed effort in this sphere, and opposable on balance.
Won at Ripon and Thirsk last year, and better effort this season when 3¾L fourth of 8 to Hats Off To Larry at Chester last time despite missing the kick. Not ruled out assuming his slow break there is not habit-forming.
Veteran who isn't the force of old, but has returned to his former trainer after failing to show much for Jarlath Fahey in Ireland, and not impossible that he will be revived as a result.
Soundly beaten on first two starts this season, but sprung a shock when decisively beating Sputnik Planum at Hamilton last time. Remains to be seen if he can back that up, but he's well treated on his old form, so needs respect.
Far from prolific and not won a turf race since 2015, but back to form from reduced mark to make the frame in handicaps at Beverley and Musselburgh on last two starts. Place claims once more, for all he remains risky for win purposes.
Not at all disgraced despite failing to convince with his stamina over 1½m here last month, and will appreciate the return to this trip, but does have a lesser effort at Doncaster last time to forgive.
Won off 5lb lower at Nottimngham (1m2½f) five weeks ago, but was well below form at Redcar last time, and has a bit to find on the balance of his form.
Has an excellent record in handicaps (5-16), and found further improvement when winning by 4L at Beverley last week from Bit of A Quirke. Penalty may not be enough to stop him given the manner of that success.
Formerly with David O'Meara and potentially well treated under optimum conditions on his second start for new yard, having finished third of 12 to Motahassen in an apprentices event at Haydock last week.
Stepped up on recent efforts when 5L second of 17 to Brother McGonagall at Beverley last time, but no match for the winner there, and races from out of the handicap in this stronger race.

Archie Perkins (10/3), Sputnik Planum (15/2), Lord Of The Rock (15/2), Mikmak (8/1), Pioneering (8/1), Delph Crescent (8/1), Addis Ababa (17/2), Beverley Bullet (10/1), Ghalib (11/1), Music Seeker (16/1), Swift Emperor (16/1), Top Notch Tonto (22/1), Empress Ali (25/1), Zabeel Star (25/1), Cross Step (33/1), Jamih (80/1)
Hamilton 1-2 Ghalib and Sputnik Planum are interesting for different reasons, with the latter's trainer having won this race twice in recent years, and they deserve respect, as does Haydock third Pioneering, who did too much in front on his debut for Roger Fell. No such excuses are needed for ARCHIE PERKINS, however, and Nigel Tinkler's thriving handicapper can make it four wins from his last eight runs.
- Archie Perkins
- Sputnik Planum
- Ghalib
