Due Diligence colt saw his price rise from 5,000 gns as a foal to £35,000 as a yearling. Ran a fine second on last month's Ayr debut over this trip that sets a strong standard. Stable though has been quiet since.
Son of Due Diligence cost 34,000 gns as a foal and £30,000 as a yearling. A fourth foal and a half-brother to two sprint winners. Plenty of speed in pedigree ahead of debut and stable in good form with their juveniles. Rates a likely type.
Bred for speed as a son of Dandy Man out of a 6f winner. Cost 17,000gns as a foal and £23,000 as a yearling. A fifth foal and a half-brother to two winners. Market likely best guide as to expectations ahead of debut.
Brazen Beau colt with a mix of speed and stamina in pedigree. A fifth foal and a half-brother to winners Marie Of Lyon, The Tempest and Tommy Tony. Represents strong connections on debut and worth a market check.
Son of Lethal Force out of a sprint winner and gelded ahead of debut. Fetched 11,000 gns as a yearling and a half-brother to winners Dakota Gold and Anandita. Stable has had just the one juvenile winner this season.
Gelded son of Havana Gold saw his price reduce from 35,000 gns as a foal to €9,000 as a yearling. Sent off 66/1 and always in rear on recent Thirsk debut and easy to overlook.
Havana Gold half-sister to 5f-6½f winner Sing Something from family of Wokingham winner Laddies Poker Two. Slowly away and never really threatened on Redcar debut. Likely to improve for extra furlong but a bit to find.
Son of Due Diligence gelded ahead of debut. Doesn't really appeal on paper and likely to need further in time, however stable in hot form so market support would be interesting.
Much better second effort when staying on well over this trip at Redcar to snatch fourth. Further progress should see her involved but she seemed to benefit from the switch to quicker ground, so rain would be against her.
Forecasts
Clay Regazzoni (6/5), Spygate (7/2), Havana Dawn (5/1), Mischief Star (11/1), Commanche Falls (12/1), Rusalka (16/1), Our Dave (16/1), My Havana (66/1), Aiden's Reward (66/1)
There is a slight concern about the form of his stable but nonetheless CLAY REGAZZONI would have to run into a forward type to be beaten, if building on his promising debut. Mischief Star really catches the eye from the newcomers while Spygate should also be monitored in the betting.
- Clay Regazzoni
- Mischief Star
- Spygate
