Held his form well since scoring at Bath in first-time blinkers in May belatedly getting off the mark. Ran In a higher grade than he needed to last time (0-85); still acquitted himself well (didn't quite convince under pressure), needs quick ground.
Lightly-raced sort for her age this will be her stable/handicap debut having been sold for 38,000 guineas in December out of Hugo Palmer's yard. Did show some promise as a three-year-old over shorter trips; doubt about this distance on pedigree.
Course winner (7f) with the majority of her winning form coming on slower ground than this. Last win came when dropped into claiming company (1m2f, soft) at Windsor; looked ring-rusty last time after a break; should do better.
Tongue-tie now goes on in a bid to find some form having looked well off the pace in his most recent starts; failed to come on for his reappearance at Nottingham last time. Has had some wind surgery along with a change of yard; must improve.
The only C&D winner in the field that win coming off a 6lb higher mark last summer. Majority of runs since then have been respectable and ran to that level last time (seasonal return); strong in the market he should come on for that run.
Fair maiden (0-8) who is already with her third yard; appeared to take a step forward last time over C&D (given a chance by the handicapper). That run proved her stamina credentials at the trip (left on the same mark); chance to go one better now.
Hurdles/AW winner who wasn't seen to best effect last time over a shorter trip at Wolverhampton (poorly drawn/placed). Back on turf (in this discipline) for the first time since last summer; needs to find his AW form on turf to be competitive.

The run that CWYNAR put in last time over C&D when picking up some place money has some credence at this level and despite the fact that she’s not won a race as yet she would have solid claims if reproducing that run. Essenaitch took this last year and it could well be that this has been his aim again as he reappears off a two-month absence; he’s 6lb lower than last year so he’s given a good chance of a repeat. A few of these wouldn’t want any further rain but any softening of the ground shouldn’t bother Love And Be Loved or Ourmullion both of whom have a chance if putting all the facets of their game together.
