Sir Prancealot colt who made a disappointing debut effort when not unfancied (10/1) at Lingfield (6f; good to firm). Has a lot to prove off the back of that and task made harder by conceding 5lb to the fillies in the race.
Sent off at large odds (50-1) and ran accordingly on debut at Salisbury (5f; good to firm). That was a fair race and it wouldn't take masses of improvement to see him play a more prominent role in this vastly weaker contest.
Never a factor when outpaced from early on when making debut at Leicester (6f; good to firm). A negative that he is a gelding for one so inexperienced, but step up to 6f should suit a lot more. Not entirely impossible to see him getting involved.
Improved somewhat on debut effort when sixth of 14 at Chelmsford recently (6f; standard). Should get closer again this time but likely to come up just short in terms of gaining a first career success.
Took a rather large backwards step last time at Newmarket (6f; good to firm) after making a promising debut effort at this track. Little bit to prove but should get back on track returned to the AW.
20,000 euro yearling. By The Wow Signal who won a Coventry Stakes. Another two-year-old newcomer on the card for trainer who needs no introduction with these types. Could easily be good enough to make presence felt on debut in weak contest.
Forecasts
Space Ace (8/11), Red Maharani (5/1), Boasty (6/1), Constanzia (7/1), Mungo's Quest (14/1), Ossco (20/1)
Those with experience don't set the bar too high and in what is a very weak contest, SPACE ACE wouldn't have to be a superstar to claim this on debut. The record her yard possess with two-year-olds on the AW (8-13 this year), offers more confidence and her trainer/jockey combo have been in tremendous form in general over the last 14 days. After failing to improve from an encouraging debut effort when well-beaten at Newmarket recently, Red Maharani should enjoy the return to the AW. Constanzia finished last on debut, but improved slightly on that when finishing midfield in a 14-runner affair over C&D and a similar chunk of improvement could see her get closer again.
