Deservedly broke the duck after a series of consistent efforts when forging clear close home at Yarmouth (7f, good to firm) last week; 7lb claimer Jessica Cooley helps to offset the subsequent weights rise; wide draw.
Has finished outside of the frame just once in six starts since the turn of the year; beaten just 1L by Kwella over this trip on her penultimate start (Leicester); well drawn stablemate of Ollivander.
Showed plenty of speed before weakening late over C&D (good) last August; well below that form on seasonal return; wears a hood on handicap debut.
3lb higher than when winning over 7f at Southwell last month (beat Sylviacliffs by a head); probably didn't quite stay 1m on soft ground at Carlisle latest; stablemate of Beryl The Petal.
A dual AW winner (6f-7f); keeping on inside the final furlong when finishing approximately 4L fifth of 15 to Supaulette at Thirsk (7f, good) five weeks ago; worthy of consideration.
Six-race maiden; best effort to date came over C&D last July when finishing a 50/1 7L second to a Mark Johnston-trained winner; yet to kick on positively in handicaps; easily overlooked.
Has undertaken 99% of his racing over the minimum trip of 5f; has regressed throughout the early months of 2019 dropping 11lb in the handicap; rain could assist (sole juvenile win was on good to soft).
Had been developing a consistent profile (in modest races) until bombing out on heavy ground at Carlisle last week; steps back up in trip having finished 2L third to Molly Mai over C&D (good) on her previous start; stablemate of Smashing Lass.
Her sole win came in a 7f seller at Catterick (good to firm) last July, and she's shown little to enthuse about so far in 2019; tries cheekpieces from a basement mark, but stablemate Lexikon looks far more appealing.
Ten-race maiden; finished a distant second to a 1/14f over C&D in June 2018, and hasn't really threatened to deliver the goods in four starts on the AW (6f-1m) so far this calendar year; look elsewhere.

Forecasts
Beryl The Petal (7/2), Mo Emmad Ali (4/1), Rich Approach (9/2), Strawberry Jack (5/1), Clem A (11/2), Ollivander (6/1), Lexikon (9/1), Biscuit Queen (14/1), God Of Dreams (14/1), Abie's Hollow (18/1), Smashing Lass (20/1), Dreamseller (20/1), Raypeteafterme (25/1)
Strawberry Jack has a welter burden of 10st 4lb as he bids to follow up a recent Yarmouth win, but the more significant barrier to further success could come from his wide draw in stall 12. Conversely, Beryl The Petal has a much handier berth and this consistent filly should make her presence felt. However, at potentially more rewarding odds a chance is taken on the dual AW scorer RICH APPROACH who was set plenty to do at Thirsk (7f) last month before keeping on well for pressure to finish approximately 4L fifth to an in-form Supaulette.
- Rich Approach
- Beryl The Petal
- Mo Emmad Ali
