Now 4lb lower than when finishing a keeping on third at Nottingham (1m2f, good to soft) in April, and met trouble in running at that same track latest; place possibilities.
Camelot filly (100,000gns yearling); hasn't made much of an impression in novice contests thus far, including when dropping back to 1m at Haydock (good to firm) latest; could fare better now introduced to handicapping in newly applied cheekpieces.
A Southwell flop (1m4f) can be excused, but this gelding has shown only adequate form on both of his other two starts, namely when finishing 12L third to Great Example over C&D (good) 18 days ago; more required now handicapping.
Delegator gelding; brought along steadily by Micky Hammond and wasn't too far off the principals in a 1m Redcar median auction maiden (good to firm) last month; up in trip for handicap debut.
Twice a winner over 5f as a juvenile (Wolverhampton and Hamilton); no joy in two starts this year (has finished behind Curfewed) and is slipping down the handicap as a result; runner up on good to soft as a juvenile (Yarmouth).
Seven-race maiden with some examples of placed form on his CV; 1lb lower than when finishing 3½L second to Dancin Boy at Redcar (1m2f, good to firm) on penultimate start (40/1).
Ten-race maiden who ran his best race on debut for Tracy Waggott on the Tapeta at Newcastle (1m) in December when beaten ¾L by Battle Of Wills; easing in the weights, yet unconvincing over 1m2f; cheekpieces are now applied.
Proved he handles these conditions when staying on strongly to win a nursery at Ayr (1m, good to soft) last October; held up and always towards the rear (finished behind Curfewed) on his first attempt at 1m2f at Beverley 23 days ago.
Half-brother to a couple of winners including the 1m3f scorer Duchess Ravenwaves; best effort to date when finishing 3½L third to the Brian Ellison-trained Antico Lady in a 1m Class 6 Wetherby handicap (good to firm) last Thursday.
Six-race maiden who was weak inside the final two furlongs at Nottingham (1m2f, soft) last November; 7lb lower and gelded ahead of this seasonal reappearance.
Six-race maiden; has failed to beat a single rival on his last three starts (7f-1m+); cheekpieces go on seeking an upturn in fortunes; his half-brother Mulligatawny is a two-time winner at Ripon.
Forecasts
Neileta (9/2), Patchouli (5/1), Soloist (11/2), Curfewed (13/2), Diviner (13/2), Itchingham Lofte (7/1), Firewater (10/1), The Rutland Rebel (10/1), Simon's Smile (25/1), Palazzo (33/1), Slaithwaite (50/1)
An open race which lacks a standout contender and as a result no strong opinion is formed. The Camelot filly Soloist could fare better now introduced to handicapping in cheekpieces under the 7lb claim of Cieren Fallon, while the Mick Channon-trained Patchouli should just about find a spot in the first three. However, for very small stakes the stamina reserves of NEILETA are chanced off what is a very lightweight of 8st 5lb.
- Neileta
- Patchouli
- Firewater
