Stayed on well to score over 6f at Wolverhampton (AW) last time but combination of drop back in trip, return to turf, and 3lb higher mark will make life much tougher.

Landed 5f Southwell (AW) juvenile auction in December and showed plenty of speed from front until tiring late on in Beverley seller last time on return from break. Decent apprentice claims 7lb, easier track should help, and wears first-time visor.

Wpon over 5f and 6f as a juvenile but not yet proved she's trained on with two poor efforts so far this campaign. Eased 3lb since last start when last of nine at Chester and has something to prove at present.

Landed Goodwood novice stakes last term for Amy Murphy in impressive fashion before outclassed in Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot. Gelded and not seen again until January and has run moderately in four starts since. Makes debut for new yard.

Narrowly failed to win four-runner affair on debut at Nottingham in May last year and hasn't shown a great deal in three starts since. Eased 4lb after weakening final furlong on handicap bow at Beverley last time out.

Busy time of things as a juvenile but finally got his reward when winning at Musselburgh in October (5f). Hasn't got his act together so far this term but dropped 2lb since last run so back to winning mark.

Patchy form as a juvenile but doing better this campaign. Landed Windsor 5f h'cap in may off 8lb lower mark, and only just failed to follow up when second at Redcar last time. In form and shouldn't be far away.

Showed very little in three starts last season but was well backed on handicap bow at Windsor in April and duly obliged under champion jockey. 7lb higher here but there could be more to come and looks shortlist material.

Ran 15 times as a juvenile, winning two nurseries. Didn't get the run of the race and not beaten too far at Goodwood last time suggesting he retains ability. Eased 1lb and top jockey booked.

Didn't show too much in three outings last term over further but drops back in trip for handicap bow and starts off on a modest mark. Worth noting for any market support for shrewd yard.

Looks a tricky ride on evidence of three starts so far and appears to be of limited ability. First time tongue-tie and hood both applied for handicap bow and will do well to get involved after nearly six months off.

Coming down the weights after three tries in handicaps last autumn. Is full-sister to decent sprinter Roundhay Park though so may improve this term and is at the right end of the weights if ready to do herself justice on seasonal return.

Landed Southwell 5f (AW) noivce stakes for Dean Ivory in January but generally disappointing since. Makes debut for new yard who are without a winner for nearly a year. Hard to enthuse over.

Forecasts

Tone The Barone (7/4), Valentino Sunrise (7/2), Tomahawk Ridge (13/2), Kapono (8/1), Dream House (12/1), Skeetah (14/1), No Bills (14/1), Scale Force (20/1), Klopp (20/1), Celsius (25/1), Sylvia's Mother (33/1), Andies Armies (33/1), Primeiro Boy (40/1), Swiss Chime (50/1)

Verdict

This is a very trappy affair with a host of horses holding claims of one sort or another. TONE THE BARONE looked ahead of the handicapper when winning well at Windsor last time so may defy a rise in the weights. Tomahawk Ridge and Scale Force both ran well enough last time, while there could be more to come from the likes of potential improvers such as No Bills, Valentino Sunrise and Skeetah so the market may prove informative.
  1. Tone The Barone
  2. No Bills
  3. Tomahawk Ridge
