Green at start and slow to go on debut at Nottingham recently but came home home well over 6f to finsish runner-up. Will need to break better this time dropped back in trip but has ability and is respected.

£42,000 Zebedee gelding makes his racecourse debut for yard going through a good spell. May well be better for the experience but worth a market check for any signs of confidence.

Gelded son of Fountain of Youth; dam has produced two previous winners at up to 7f. Shaped nicely on debut at Beverley last month when keeping on one pace to finsih runner-up. Faster track here may well help the cause.

Showcasing colt whose dam won at 1m3f and is half-sister to a juvenile Group 1 mile winner. May well prove better in time over further but a bold show on debut is not out of the question.

Colt by Swiss Spirit out of a dam who was placed in listed company at both 6f and 7f. Yard 2-41 overall at this track and will do well to win on his racecourse debut.

£65,000 Dark Angel colt related to a couple of fair winners. Yard quite adept at readying one first time out and has fine 19% overall strike rate here so worth noting any positive market move.

€150,000 Zoffany filly whose dam was placed at listed level as a juvenile. Looks the part on paper for yard that has fine record with its juveniles and could well be ready to go first time out. Hold entry in Saturday's Hilary Needler Trophy.

Forecasts

Dubai Station (11/8), Partridge (15/8), Majestic Sands (4/1), Matera (9/2), Sermon (9/1), Kilig (16/1), Mr Bowjangles (20/1), Saras Hope (40/1), Invincible Bertie (66/1)

Verdict

This looks a fair race. Majestic Sands should make a bold bid to make it 2-2 following his gutsy winning debut at Leicester but he has weight to give away all round. Receiving 11lb, PARTRIDGE is the choice hailing from a good yard and boasting a pedigree that suggests she could be quite speedy. Both Dubai Station and Kilig showed plenty of promise when runner-up on their respective debuts, while of the other newcomers, Sermon might prove the pick.
