The odd good effort over the past twelve months would offer some hope here, but the bottom line is he's become a bit disappointing and he did little on first start for new yard at Huntingdon and until showing more, is best watched.
Gave up the ghost too quickly for comfort at Uttoxeter last time, and it's possible he's simply not taken to fences and this switch back to hurdles may suit. 3lb higher than last win but ground likely to suit and not totally ruled out.
Infrequent winner but trip and likely ground both suit, and he's slowly falling back to a mark he might be able to operate from. However, another laboured effort last time out takes some forgiving, and others make more appeal.
Improving sort, winner of two of last four starts and although well beaten at Warwick last time, there's a ready excuse for that (made bad mistake at a key time) and you wouldn't hold it against him. Big player again here.
Below par effort when made favourite at Market Rasen last time, but possible that the trip was on the short side for him and this may suit better. One win in 31 starts, however, and that alone is enough to make you look elsewhere for the winner.
Only his seventh start today, so may well improve a bit, especially as this is his handicap debut. Not guaranteed to get this trip on breeding however, so it's a bit of a leap of faith, but he is one of the more interesting ones all the same.
Thoroughly exposed 10yo that's an infrequent winner (6-77) and has no form to speak of over this trip, so makes very little appeal despite a falling mark.
Stays very well , enjoys a stamina test, and his second to a rejuvenated Alanjou at Plumpton in May reads well. Bit below par at Market Rasen last time but nailed on to stay the trip and looks more likely to run his race than a few.
No form to speak of so far and although in good hands, isn't yet improving and can only be watched until showing a bit more.
Forecasts
Urtheonethatiwant (9/4), Misdflight (9/2), Paddys Runner (5/1), Vexillum (7/1), American Life (7/1), Aquarian (10/1), Solar Glory (11/1), Marocchino (16/1), Howlongisafoot (33/1)
URTHEONETHATIWANT was still in with every chance when making a race-ending error at Warwick last time, but had previously looked progressive and has every chance of getting back on track here. He can prove too good for American Life, who may be getting on in years but is still capable at this level, and Solar Glory, who has something to prove but is at least open to some improvement over this trip. Misdflight might do better now upped in trip too.
- Urtheonethatiwant
- American Life
- Solar Glory
