Much better effort first time out this season not beaten to far over an extended mile at Windsor. Makes handicap debut here and step up in trip is a positive. Interesting contender.
Improved to win over course and distance last time out having previously run solid races at Chelmsford and Kempton. Could go close if still on the upgrade though there might be better handicapped horses in the field.
Had run some fair races in defeat before running well below par last time out at Doncaster. Has run reasonably at this track in the past and not without a chance but needs to put that last run behind him.
Little to recommend on his racecourse form but hails from a powerful stable and he is well-bred (Dam won Ascot Gold Cup). Should improve with age and distance.
Has improved for every run and put in his best effort when third in a Chester maiden last month - finishing strongly in the closing stages. Looks well handicapped and has a good chance if appreciating the step up in trip.
The most exposed of the field but one of the few with winning form. Has won over course and distance and can generally be relied upon but suspicion he will one or two too good off his current mark.
Interesting contender from a stable that does well at this track. His bare form is nothing special but he will almost certainly appreciate this sharp step up in trip. Market will be a good guide.
VINDOLANDA looks nicely handicapped and is certainly improving with each run. He can get the better of previous winners Torolight and Glutnforpunishment with a market check advised on Mon Frere.
