POWERFUL STAR performed well when third on debut and with improvement likely she can get off the mark at the second time of asking in the concluding novice stakes. The selection looks capable of getting the better of Ascended who ran well to place on all three starts as a two-year-old while third place can go to Royal Welcome who showed improved form when placed last time out.
