Multiple Group winner in Australia, most notably landing a Group 1 contest at Doomben in May 2018. Showed little at Meydan this winter though and well beaten on yard debut last time. May do better now returned to this trip.
C&D winner last time out and the form has been franked with the runner-up and the fourth winning subsequently. Could come on for that first run in 193 days and only up 5lb in the handicap.
Losing run goes back to a Listed success back in 2017. Well beaten second of four in a Listed race at Ascot last time and wants soft ground to be seen at her best.
Two wins from four starts to date but disappointing favourite at Ascot on handicap debut earlier this month. Too keen that day and may be able to get more cover here so may be able to bounce back.
Gained a first win since debut when holding on at Newmarket last time out. Gave the impression he had more to give close to home and quite possible he will continue to progress as a four-year-old given the yard he hails from.
Rattled off a hat-trick last year but has lost her way a little subsequently. Well beaten on return at Goodwood last time and best form has come with plenty of cut underfoot over a little further.
Won twice last year before changing hands for 130,000 gns in the off-season. Good second on return behind Elector and 1lb better off at the weights here. Hold up style not always suited to this venue though.
Won twice at Thirsk last year and has been running well in defeat in two starts this season. Left on the same mark by the handicapper for the latest effort and first-time cheekpieces may eke out more improvement.
Won twice on AW last year and running well in defeat of late, particularly last time out when runner-up at Newmarket having missed the break. Not without each-way claims with a similar effort.
Hasn't won on turf since his second start in 2016 but ran well at Windsor last time and has run well from higher marks in the past; consistency would be the main concern.
Has won three of his last five starts and plenty to like about the way he won at Nottingham last time. Up 5lb in a deeper contest here and his propensity to start slowly is a concern but he's hard to put a line through.
Forecasts
Mountain Angel (11/4), Elector (3/1), Setting Sail (4/1), Jazeel (7/1), Borodin (9/1), Lorelina (16/1), What About Carlo (16/1), Lawmaking (25/1), Mr Scaramanga (33/1), Regular Income (40/1), Comin' Through (66/1)
ELECTOR won with a bit in hand at Newmarket last time and it's likely Sir Michael Stoute has left something to work on for the rest of the season. Jazeel was runner-up in that race and may be able to build on that for his new yard. There's a host of each-way chances in this race but Borodin may be capable of better still in first-time cheekpieces.
- Elector
- Jazeel
- Borodin
