By Erewhon out of a Danzig mare. Dam, winner at two over 6f for Godolphin. Well down the pack on debut at Roscommon earlier this month and more needed on second start.
By Royal Anthem out of a Spectrum mare. Finished down the field as an unfancied 66-1 chance in a bumper at Punchestown on debut before finishing last of six over 1m6f in a Listed contest at Leopardstown earlier this month. Hard to fancy.
Daughter of Alhebayeb cost €11,000 as a yearling; a third foal and half-sister to English Pale. Well beaten and never nearer in a couple of below-par efforts earlier this month. Good chance handicaps will suit in time.
Oasis Dream filly with Group and Listed winners in her pedigree. Plenty to like about her debut appearance at the start of the month finishing third of 15 beaten 2½L adrift of Miss O Connor. Big player given the likelihood of improvement.
Dragon Pulse filly. Half-sister to several winners, including smart 1m winner Regulation amongst others. Not disgraced on debut at Leopardstown earlier this month and open to plenty of improvement.
Filly by Big Bad Bob out of a Cape Cross mare. Cost €800 (Vendor) Dam 1m4f winner , closely related to 1m2f victor Joyful Spirit. Not beaten far in two career starts to date and rates a leading contender in this contest.
Filly by Pivotal out of a New Approach mare. Dam unplaced in France. Sister to 7f - 1m AW winner Symbolic Star. Market check needed on debut for respected connections.
Daughter of US sire Hard Spun cost €30,000 in February, is a half-sister to a couple of US winners. Sent off at odds of 50/1 and 100/1 on a couple of career starts to date running accordingly on each occasion.
Daughter of Glor Na Mara out of a two-year-old winning dam. Generally well held in a couple of career starts so far and likely to come in for more consideration when sent handicapping.
Daughter of Mastercraftsmen; a 12th foal; half-sister to five winners. Nothing of note in first two starts here and more recently at Naas over this trip earlier this month well beaten 16L. Hard to fancy and plenty to prove.
Daughter of Dream Ahead out of a Tiger Hill mare. €28,000 (vendor) sister to 7f AW winner High Waves. Best watched on debut unless market vibes suggest otherwise.
Filly by Pour Moi out of a Teofilo mare. Dam was a winner on the AW between 1m4f and 2m Sister to winners Rigoletta and Pirolo. May be of interest in first time hood following a solid run here at the start of the month.
Daughter of Lope De Vega out of a Big Bad Bob mare. One of two in the race representing reputable owners, with this filly possibly needing a little more time.
Forecasts
Anya Ylina (1/1), Basrah Breeze (10/3), Memyselfandmoi (5/1), Cartesienne (9/1), Timemakesitfine (12/1), Grinn (16/1), Aurora Moon (20/1), Lon Dubh (33/1), Light Of Fire (33/1), Cookie Policy (66/1), Ally Cay (100/1), Kingsriver Diamond (100/1), Celtic Red (100/1)
Trainer Dermot Weld appears to have found an ideal opening for his filly, ANYA YLINA to get of the mark at the third time of asking for connections. The daughter of Oasis Dream will possibly have the Ger Lyons-trained Basrah Breeze emerging as the biggest danger. Memyselfandmoi and Jim Bolger's Grinn are worthy of consideration.
