Showed promise in three starts at two but well held 6L fifth in a 1m handicap at Southwell on handicap debut earlier this month. Worth a check in the market upped markedly in trip on return to turf.
Good third over an extended 1m at Nottingham (good-to-firm) last October. Well held last of four over this trip at Yarmouth (good) on seasonal debut three weeks ago however. Market support would be notable on handicap debut.
Promising third over 1m2f at Chelmsford in December but well beaten over the same C&D the following month. Making his handicap and turf debut following a break.
Fair effort when seventh over 1m2f when making his handicap debut at Goodwood (good) earlier this month. More needed stepping up in trip with cheekpieces tried for the first time.
Six race maiden ran well when 5L second over C&D on good going when making his handicap debut a fortnight ago. Races off the same mark with blinkers tried for the first time.
Winner of a novice event over 7f at Catterick (good-to-firm) last August. Struggled upped to 1m2f on seasonal debut at Ripon (good) last month and interesting to see how he fares on seasonal debut.
Career best effort when 2L second in a 1m novice contest at Kempton in February. Absent since and bred to appreciate this step up in distance on handicap debut.
Finished third on her last three starts including over 1m3f at Kempton on seasonal debut at the end of March. One to note on debut in handicap company.
Fair effort in finishing fifth in a 1m6f contest at Wetherby (good-to-soft) when making his handicap debut earlier this month. First start since being gelded on that occasion and drop in trip looks likely to suit.
Maiden after eight starts and held in handicaps over 1m2f in two starts since returning from a break. More needed stepping up in distance.
Forecasts
Vexed (5/2), Mr Zoom Zoom (7/2), Sky Cross (7/1), Monsieur Lambrays (15/2), Gold Fleece (8/1), Natty Night (9/1), Earl Of Harrow (11/1), Cromwell (16/1), Ring Cycle (25/1), Bolt N Brown (25/1)
GOLD FLEECE is bred to appreciate this step up in distance and she can get off the mark at the first attempt in handicaps by taking this competitive three-year-old only handicap. The selection can get the better of fellow handicap debutant Bolt N Brown who ran well when placed at Kempton last time out. Third place can go to Mr Zoom Zoom who ran well here on his most recent start.
