Sea The Stars colt caught many an eye when green but staying on for fourth in the Wood Ditton before readily winning next at Pontefract. 7lb penalty in warm contest makes him vulnerable here but bold bid assured.
Son of Exceed And Excel took a while to get the hang of things at Yarmouth on debut last month but was doing his best work late on in third of 14. Looks a useful prospect based on that and with improvement likely has sound claims for red-hot yard.
Son of Iffraaj was second at Yarmouth on debut (Edaraat third) and headed close home having led from 1f out. Improve for that and has very obvious claims to go one better now.
Well held in a couple of starts at two. Gelded since but only midfield on return on AW so readily opposed here.
Dubawi colt; foal; dam 1m2f-2m2f winner (inc Cesarewitch), half-sister to 1m4f/1m5f Group 3 winner Systematic out of 1m Group 2 winner. May want further but market can guide with Land Of Legends also running for yard.
Kingman entire looks stable second string based on 15th of 18 here and fifth of nine at Nottingham in two races as a juvenile. Maybe the sort for handicaps after today for shrewd trainer.
Made an excellent start when beaten a nose here over 7f by a Gosden newcomer last November. Troubled passage when fifth as odds-on fav on return at Salisbury and now ready for this step up to 1m. Not ruled out in stronger race.
Sixth of 10 on debut at Salisbury (odds-on Real Smooth fifth) last month showed he has enough ability to be winning races soon enough but this a deeper contest so perhaps not today.
Union Rags colt cost $130,000 as a yearling but yet to fire in two starts. Bred for the dirt so perhaps one to take a chance on if he switches to AW.
85.000gns yearling by Shamardal; first foal; dam placed 1m2f only start, sister to 1m2f Listed winner Modeyra out of 1m2f Group 1 winner, is granddaughter of German 1,000 Guineas winner. Will have to be very smart to go close here on debut.
425,000gns two-year-old purchase by Sea The Stars. Excellent start when overcoming awkward break to be second here last September to Craven winner/2000 Guineas third Skardu (7f). That form leaps off the page so fancied here.
Rip Van Winkle filly in rear throughout when 17th of 19 on debut at Newbury last month. Can only be watched here.
Oasis Dream filly showed little when eighth of 11 at Wetherby last month. This considerably stronger so faces mountainous task.
