€70,000 yearling, War Command colt. Half-brother to three winners, including 7f winner Aimez La Vie. Good jockey on board for this debut outing and worth a look.
$140,000 foal, Kitten's Joy colt. Dam, unraced, closely related to useful US winner up to 1m1f (juvenile 1m winner) Tiger Walk. Trainer/jockey team enjoying fine time of it, much-respected.
€65,000 yearling, Mastercraftsman colt is a half-brother to 6f winner Caitie and 1m½f winner Petruchio. May come on for this first outing.
52,000 gns yearling, Australia colt is a half-brother to 6f winners Papa Luigi and Big Brave Bob. Stable starting to hit some form (2-4 lately) and worth noting on first run.
Camelot colt cost €68,000 foal then changed hands for €100,000 as a yearling. Makes some appeal on paper and betting should prove informative.
War Front colt. Dam, 1m-1m2f winner, sister to high-class winner up to 1m4f Magician. Represents best in the business on debut and two-year-old's have been finding the target first time out.
By Epaulette €5,500 yearling; first foal; dam 7f winner. Modest pedigree and failed to beat a rival home on debut at Naas, others readily preferred.
€100,000 yearling, Australia colt. Closely related to multiple winners, including smart winner up to 2m½f Eye of The Storm. Yard can get one ready and 1-7 with two-year-old's this season so far.
Galileo colt. Closely related to 6f-1m winner Zeeran and half-brother to three winners, including top-class winner up to 1m Canford Cliffs. One of three interesting Ballydoyle newcomers.
War Front colt. Brother to very smart winner up to 1m2½f Lancaster Bomber. Promising pedigree and completes strong trio of newcomers for Aidan O'Brien here with betting likely to rank them.
Starspangledbanner filly, closely related to winner up to 5½f Miss Rosina. Newcomers for yard doing well but may find a few better placed in this field.
Forecasts
King Arthurs Sword (11/4), War Leader (3/1), Toronto (5/1), Gibson Desert (7/1), Masteroffoxhounds (8/1), Britannia Kitten (9/1), Mohican Heights (14/1), Lil Grey (25/1), At War (28/1), Megans Beau (50/1), Darkest Hour (50/1)
Just one racecourse appearance between them and that ensures the betting will be key here. Ballydoyle run three and all make decent appeal on paper. TORONTO gets a nominal vote ahead of the betting, the Galileo colt and close relative of Canford Cliffs likely to be suited by this test first time out. War Leader and Masteroffoxhounds could well be his main rivals, though it is also quite easy to suggest Britannia Kitten, At War and King Arthurs Sword will be better than average in time.
- Toronto
- War Leader
- Britannia Kitten
