£40,000 yearling, Camacho colt. Closely related to two-year-old 5f winner Invincibella. Likely sort on debut, needs a close check in the betting.
€72,000 yearling, price increased to 200,000 gns as a two-year-old, Dark Angel colt. Yard in decent form and could be set to go well on debut.
Sir Prancealot colt. Half-brother to several winners, including useful winner up to 6f Lady Lily and 1m½f winner Apt. Market should guide on first outing.
Fast Company colt. Half-brother to several winners, including two-year-old 6f winner Epona and 7f winner Ella Brown. May find things happening quickly enough.
€18,000 yearling, Sir Prancealot gelding. Half-brother to multiple winners, including 5f winner Catwilldo. Stamina for further than this bare trip on first start.
Starspangledbanner colt whose priced increased to 52,000 gns as a yearling. Early juvenile runner for this yard, worth a close look.
Exceed And Excel colt. Dam, lightly raced, half-sister to top-class winner Dream Ahead. Trainer going well recently and should know his job first time up.
€68,000 yearling; galloped loose prior to the race, so fared reasonably well in the circumstances when finishing just under 5L fourth of seven to Good Vibes on debut over C&D 18 days ago; can do better.
2,000 gns foal, Lethal Force filly. Dam, winner up to 1m2f, half-sister to useful winner up to 1m2f Magnolia Springs. Not the most likely of these on paper.
230,000 gns yearling, Frankel filly. Half-sister to 1m3f winner Beau Bergerac and 1m winner Biscaya Storm. Yard 3-22 with two-year-old's so far this term; likely sort on debut.
Newcomer (yard not prolific with debutantes) by Coach House out of a maiden dam (half-sister to smart 6f-7f Shard Equity). May well need this experience and makes limited appeal on debut unless the market speaks for her.
Forecasts
Welcome Surprise (11/4), Symbolize (7/2), Born To Destroy (7/2), Shammah (6/1), Dark Kris (7/1), Aroha (10/1), Sir Chancealot (25/1), Magical Force (40/1), Summers Way (50/1), Newton Jack (50/1), Mungo's Quest (50/1)
Not much in the formbook for the opener and so the market should be an effective guide. Welcome Surprise, Shammah and Symbolize all can be given claims on paper while Aroha is expected to build on what she managed over C&D on debut (got loose pre-race) and take a hand in the finish. DARK KRIS changed hands for a decent sum and makes appeal on paper as he seeks to give Richard Hughes a first juvenile scorer of 2019.
- Dark Kris
- Welcome Surprise
- Aroha
