Beaten out of sight in a French bumper and one previous start on the Flat; hard to recommend at present.

Shown promise and this trip shouldn't be an issue. Yard capable of having him primed for his seasonal bow; worth a betting check.

Finished last on debut at Wolverhampton last month but should be wiser for the run. Still needs to take a big step forward this time.

Horse silk

Has winners in his pedigree and bred to cope with the trip. Yard going well and is another to keep tabs on in the betting market.

Interesting to note he's a half-brother to Desert Path, who won this race last year for Amanda Perrett. Needs a big step forward from his modest effort on debut last December.

Shown little so far and only the fact he's got previous C&D experience boost the interest levels to moderate. Qualified for a mark after this so might be one to do better in handicaps.

Pecorino

9/1
Bred to be suited by this trip and not over faced for his racecourse debut. Worth a betting check.

The trip should be no issue on pedigree and likely there's more to come after his debut effort when fifth of eight at Nottingham last month. Does need to improve though.
Only modest form shown so far but this step up in trip is more in keeping with his pedigree. Yard now firing and the gelding may well improve plenty for the switch to racing on turf. Shortlisted.

Frosty Tern
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-8| J: N Mackay| T: G Deacon
66/1
Cost just 2,000 gns and is a half-sister to 1m4f winner Casual Garcia; likely to do better as she gains experience.

Age: 3|  Weight: 8-8| J: S De Sousa| T: M Botti

Cost 40,000 gns and is a nicely bred filly with plenty of scope. Debut run at Yarmouth was promising and she may well find more now tried over a couple of furlongs further.
Well beaten debut at Kempton last month and hard to see her being good enough on that evidence.

Kalaya14
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-8| J: Jane Elliott(3)| T: A Watson
33/1
Cost€6,000 and has a likelable pedigree; big improvement required after a poor effort on debut at Southwell last month.

Horse silk

Beat just one rival to the finish line on debut at Wolverhampton in March and difficult to see where the requisite improvement will come from.

Finished behind Kalaya on debut and looks the stable second strong once again. Hard to fancy at this stage.

Verdict

Not much worthwhile form to go and a lot must be taken on trust. With that in mind, a chance is taken that SONG WITHOUT END will improve for the step up in trip and he can go on from here. Nordic Flight has hinted at ability and is a worthy alternative if the betting market is keen on his chances, while Pecorino is another who is bred to appreciate this test and is also worth a betting check. Lord Halifax is also worth bearing in mind.
