Ex-Australian performer who is respected on his best form, but hasn't pulled up any trees in Dubai this year, and bit to prove having left Chris Waller. Usual tongue tie missing here.
Ran badly on final start last year, but better judged on previous win in a 1m Group 3 at Deauville in August. Had run respectably in Jersey Stakes over C&D earlier last year, and needs respect.
Beat Gallipoli off 1lb lower at Lingfield (AW) in March, and respectable 2¼L third of 6 to Hey Gaman in 7f Listed race at Leicester last time. Unplaced in three runs over C&D last year, though.
Won a C&D handicap off this mark for John Gosden before missing 2018 and showed he retained ability when fourth of 9 to Sharja Bridge at Doncaster for new yard. More required now, but not written off.
No closer than sixth in four previous runs over C&D, so while he won a Listed race at Wolverhampton in March, he's not easy to fancy on the back of a lesser effort at Lingfield.
Won in Listed company when trained in France and has some useful AW form. Bit below his best behind Oh This Is Us at Lingfield (1m) last month, but had excuses there, and may well do better.
Good second to Ripp Orf over C&D in September. Below that form back here on final start, but likely to bounce back and should give a good account on return.
Has won three times in competitive handicaps here on good or softer ground, beating Ripp Orf over C&D in October. Conditions to suit on his reappearance, and one to bear in mind.
Acquitted himself well last season, winning 1m handicaps here and at Sandown. Excuses on final start (Cambridgeshire), and place claims for all he needs more from 3lb higher than for last win.
Won the Listed Surrey Stakes at Epsom last June and kept to decent company afterwards. Appreciated drop in class when winning at Yarmouth late last month, but looks vulnerable again.
Has been looking like taking a major hand in one of these for a while, and again ran well when second of 19 to Auxerre in the Lincoln in March. Fairly treated off same mark now, and shortlisted.
Lightly raced and won a 1m conditions race here in October. Needs a bit more improvement, but less exposed than most, and not one to dismiss lightly.
Better known for 6f exploits, and won over that trip here last summer. Has returned in good form with placed efforts at Doncaster and Newmarket, but longer trip an unknown now.
Won three times over an extended 1m at Haydock last season for Iain Jardine. Disappointing on return at Newmarket (6f) for new yard, but may have needed that, and step up to 7f will help.
Won Silver Bunbury Cup on July course last summer, and got up late to win at Leopardstown in September. May have needed his return at Newmarket, and better expected with softer ground no concern.
Both wins over this trip have come on AW, including at Kempton last time when he had a bit in hand. Needs to show he can translate that form to turf, but clearly in fine form.
Won this race off 12lb lower last year, and added a further success over C&D in September. Both runs this season over 1m, and he's expected to return to his best with track and trip to suit,
Three wins on turf at around this trip in 2018. Respectable efforts on both starts this year, but looks a little vulnerable off his current mark.
Finished down the field in the Britannia Stakes (1m) at Royal Ascot on his final start last year, and disappointed on his return from absence at Nottingham last time. Questions to answer now.
Won twice over 6f last season, and built on his comeback effort when winning a 7f handicap at Goodwood last weekend. All wins on good or faster, so bit to prove in regards to conditions.
Just one win from 16 starts since last spring, and while he has plenty of solid placed form to his name, others appear to have better win claims.
Versatile sort with regards to both ground and trip, as shown with five wins at 6f/7f last year. Caught the eye at Newmarket on his return, and looks well treated on balance, so can go well.
Won a 6f AW maiden on his 2018 return, and ran some solid races at this track last season at 1m and 6f. Didn't get home at Newbury (1m) on reappearance, and this trip may prove to be ideal.
Won at Goodwood (7f) a year ago off 2lb lower, but has only raced twice since, and is clearly hard to train. Didn't show enough on his return at Kempton to be of serious interest.
Stepped up on his reappeance when runner-up over 1m at Ripon last month, and on a fair mark, but will find easier opportunities than this.
Finished with a flourish when third in the Thirsk Hunt Cup (1m) last week, and seems in good form, but out of the handicap here, and drop in trip isn't ideal.

RIPP ORF has an excellent record at Ascot, beaten by only three horses in four big-field handicaps and he can bounce back to form after a couple of runs elsewhere at a mile this year. He was behind Kynren in the Lincoln, and that rival must be respected having run up a series of creditable handicap performances. Raising Sand and Presidential represent syndicate king Nick Bradley, and both have solid claims on the pick of their efforts in 2018.
