Successful in a 1m novice event at Southwell at the end of February. Good run in third over 1m2f (good) on turf bow at Windsor (form boosted since) and should do well from unchanged mark
Exceed and Excel colt, remains a maiden but not without promise including on debut for this trainer over a mile on the AW at Kempton in November. Wind surgery since and can do better.
Hints of ability in two runs over 1m at Newmarket last autumn, wind surgery over the winter but no immediate improvement noted at Nottingham last month.
0-4 as a juvenile but ran best race over this C&D in a maiden and also ran well here in novice heat afterwards. Gelded over the winter, possible improver going handicapping.
Once again shaped well in 1m2f good-ground Windsor novice on reappearance, nicely-bred individual represents top connections and is much-respected now entering this sphere.
Made handicap debut on the AW at Wolverhampton last month but was friendless in the betting (40-1) and ran accordingly. Will need to see some betting positives before supporting.
Winner of low-grade Lingfield novice (7f, good) last summer but hasn't gone on from that and struggled in handicaps so far. Eased another 2lb, goes up in trip this time.
By Mastercraftsman out of Livia's Dream, winner of Listed Wild Flower Stakes at Kempton. Not much form in novice events last year, gelded since and no major surprise to see a bit more now handicapping.
By Dubawi out of an Elusive City mare who cost 300,000 gns as yearling but has failed to live up to the price-tag so far. Well-held in 1m2f Yarmouth handicap (good to firm) 11 days ago; really needs the blinkers to have a positive effect.
Got off the mark in Nottingham handicap over this trip last month at the seventh attempt, making every yard a winning one. 5lb higher here and will need to take another step forward to double-up.
Forecasts
London Eye (3/1), Azets (4/1), Little Rock (9/2), Ignatius (8/1), Slade King (9/1), Dreamweaver (10/1), Isle of Wolves (10/1), Monsieur Lambrays (12/1), Copper Rose (20/1), Extreme Force (25/1)
Ignatius made all to open his account at Nottingham recently over this trip. He should build on that but faces a tougher examination from 5lb higher in this stronger race. Handicap debutant London Eye represents powerful connections and has shaped with plenty promise, ensuring a positive move in the betting for him would have to be noted but LITTLE ROCK showed up well on his turf bow at Windsor for a long way and could be the answer, with the form of that placed effort boosted already. His mark is unchanged and Shane Kelly's mount should have a leading say. Slade King and Extreme Force are possible improvers worth keeping an eye on.
- Little Rock
- London Eye
- Ignatius
